Richard and Brandy Flewellen are ready to make your holiday event or party a memorable experience.

Words are powerful. Brandy and Richard Flewellen are on a mission to see powerful words beautifully displayed in the homes of Tulsans and the impact of their words and mission is immediately felt upon entering Vogue Wood and Brush Studio.

Their mission began in November 2017 when they received a phone call that changed their lives. That phone call led to the Flewellen’s fostering and then adopting baby Isaac. Motivated by their newest addition, Brandy and Richard set out to open a business that would both allow them more time to invest in Isaac and inspire other Tulsans with powerful art. Vogue Wood and Brush Studio was birthed and officially opened in April 2018.

Vogue Wood and Brush Studio, Tulsa’s newest “paint and sip” studio, allows guests to enjoy a fun, relaxing evening with family or friends while sipping wine and creating “DIY Masterpieces”.

Why not have your holiday party and make great personalized gifts at Vogue?  It is the perfect setting for both kids and adults parties, where you can create and craft gifts truly worth sharing.  They can accommodate corporate events that appeal to both men and women.  “Our venue has everything you need to have an incredible time.  Everyone loves the fact that we do all the prep work in advance so that your time here is fun and relaxing.  It’s a no-pressure evening in which every single piece turns out perfectly,” said Brandy.

Brandy and Richard created a venue for families to have a great time but leave with something that means something to them, something that expresses their values and aspirations and inspires their families.

The site size will accommodate individuals to very large groups and is an ideal spot for large company groups, family reunions, date nights, team building events, sorority and fraternity mixers, bridal showers, girls night out, and children’s birthday parties, Vogue Wood and Brush Studio has something for every taste and style…the walls are decked with inspiration for those uncertain about what they would like to paint.  “Every person can paint something different.  You aren’t stuck doing the same thing as everyone in your group.  We do it like this because it is so much more fun and our patrons really love that about us,” explained Brandy.

The bar serves wine and beer, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. Art templates can be picked out online or custom requests can made in advance. As guests arrive, they choose a drink and get comfortable at their table where their stencils and sign are already prepped and ready. Once patrons choose their colors from the paint bar consisting of over 50 choices, instructors walk them through each step of their work. By the end of each class, everyone goes home with a smile on their face and a great piece of personalized art.

While “paint and sip” has an adult ring to it, children as young as 5 can join in on the fun while sipping a soda and painting custom signs or even canvas bags. Richard and Brandy take great joy in seeing children leave so proud of their work. Richard states “Children leaving feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creative work is the most rewarding aspect”. The Studio even offers summer camps for children to engage their imagination and learn art in a comfortable, fun environment.

Brandy and Richard have created stencils for every season and also do custom stencils upon request. From holiday to team sports designs, to an incredible collection of Christmas signs, the selection of artwork templates to choose from is endless. Once guests realize they don’t have to have the skills of Picasso to create stunning artwork, they want to come back time and again to create personalized gifts for loved ones or unique decor for their own homes.

While Vogue Wood and Brush Studio allows guests to create their own artwork in a fun environment while spending time with friends and family, the studio also provides the Flewellen’s unique ways to give back to their community. “Paint with a Purpose” events are held at the studio in which a portion of proceeds goes to various non-profits. The studio has also donated inspirational wall art to area schools to inspire students and for Brandy and Richard, “inspiring a generation with powerful words” is really what it is all about.

There are still openings to schedule your next holiday event and parties. Open studio class times are Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.; Sunday at 3 p.m.  Visit their website and begin planning your event at https://voguewbstudio.com.
