Dun-Rite Roofing (L to R) Jim Murr, president and owner, and Amber Murr, office manager.
What’s in a name? Everything in the roofing industry. Dun-Rite Roofing Inc.’s reputation stands out from the crowd. Established in 1992, Dun-Rite has served its customers in Oklahoma with one simple rule in mind—the Golden Rule.
“My philosophy is to treat customers as I would like to be treated, “explains Jim Murr, President and Owner of Dun-Rite. “One of my biggest pet peeves is a high-pressure salesman. Your work is very important to us, but once you receive your free estimate/proposal, we will not make follow-up phone calls unless you request them.” Dun-Rite also refuses to conduct door-to-door solicitations following area weather incidents. Instead, Murr believes that people will reach out when they need something, and Dun-Rite vows to only give them what they need rather than inflating services for a profit. Serial findings of roof damage by out-of-state or fly-by-night companies hurt the consumers, according to Murr, and can even raise their insurance premiums after the filing of an unnecessary claim.
It is this type of honesty that has earned Dun-Rite an A+ rating with the BBB. It is also why so many realtors prefer working with Dun-Rite rather than other roofing companies. Dun-Rite is able to provide an honest assessment of work that needs to be done, and at no charge. Dun-Rite, uniquely, does not require any upfront deposits to begin work on a roof. Instead, the invoices may be paid at the time of closing.
Dun-Rite is also a go-to with builders. In fact, one builder relocated to southwestern Oklahoma, and, after trying out other roofers, soon realized that if he wanted jobs done right, he needed to continue working with Dun-Rite.
Dun-Rite’s business stems heavily from repeat customers. Customers return for future projects or send their friends and family via word-of-mouth.
Dun-Rite Roofing has moved to a beautiful, expanded showroom located off of highway 20 in Owasso. There is such a large variety of designer shingles from several major brands as well as different colors and designs to choose from, customers may drop by to view the selections or check out a sample book. Dun-Rite is also happy to deliver sample books to a customer’s site of choice.
Free estimates for any job may be scheduled in-person at the showroom, by calling the office or online at www.dunriteroofing.com. A homeowner does not need to be present at the time of the inspection. Instead, Dun-Rite will prepare and forward the estimate following the on-site visit.
Dun-Rite has also enjoyed longstanding and loyal relationships with its employees. With several crews, Dun-Rite is second to none in quality and efficiency. Extra precaution is taken in preserving the site during construction, such as landscaping and surrounding areas, and they are careful to clean up following completion of the job.
Giving back to the community is an important part of our business, Dun-Rite is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Tulsa HBA and proud supporter of the local schools and other community organizations and events.
