S&W Tree Specialists is a well-respected, family-owned and operated business. The company provides tree care, plant healthcare, property maintenance, tree pruning, turf care, and emergency storm services to businesses and homeowners throughout northeastern Oklahoma. Dale Hughes and his wife, Leilani, Bryan Mersburgh, and Robby Mizumura are the principals running daily operations. There is always a certified and trained arborist and tree care safety professional available to answer your questions about trees, plants or lawns. Estimates for services are free with no obligation.

Bryan tells us that they are still seeing lots of dead trees in the metro Tulsa area and throughout northeastern Oklahoma. “We’re seeing lots of maples that have been stressed to their limits with the extreme heat of past summers. Don’t put off getting dead trees removed from your property,” he cautions. As dead trees continue to stand, they become more susceptible to breakage, falling limbs, and causing damage to property and people. As time goes by, rotten trees become increasingly more hazardous to the owner, to those who pass near them, to your property, and to those who are hired to remove the dead trees. Dead and dying trees are also susceptible to disease, many of which are carried by insects. When you’re sick or sustain a wound or injury to your body, you get it treated as quickly as possible. Trees are no different – the sooner the treatment, the better. “After a tree dies, get it removed as soon as possible,” says Bryan. It’s safer for you and will cost you less than if you wait until it becomes a real safety issue.”

If you’ve noticed lots of leaves falling from your trees the past couple of years because of the intense heat and drought conditions, S&W can make recommendations that could possibly save your trees. Sometimes it’s not possible because they’ve been neglected too long. Give S&W a call to see if they think your tree could survive with recommended treatment.

“If you’re intending to have trees removed or pruned this winter and can book the work now, S&W is offering some great deals,” says Bryan. “December, January and February are the best times to have these services provided because the trees have no leaves and, therefore, there is less cleanup needed after the work is completed.”

You can also call now for free estimates or to sign up early for S&W’s spring services including mowing, edging and trimming. “Now is also the time to schedule checkups for the applications of fertilizer and insecticides for trees and shrubs,” Bryan added. “October and November is the optimum plant healthcare season and the best time to plant.” S&W will help you select healthy trees to plant, or you can select and purchase trees yourself and they will pick up, deliver and plant them for you.

The experts at S&W Tree Specialists have an ongoing commitment to education, training, safety and modern equipment. “We also have a passion for total customer satisfaction,” said Bryan.
