Photographer Michael Bryan’s photo won Best in Show in last year’s Portraits of a Garden Amateur Photography Contest, presented by Tulsa Garden Center.
Amateur photographers of all ages, Tulsa Garden Center would love to exhibit your talent for all of the Tulsa area public to view during the Portraits of a Garden Amateur Photography Contest and Exhibition, held at Tulsa Garden Center. Exhibition hours will be January 22-23 and 26-30, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Photographers’ entries may be submitted at Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 S. Peoria Ave., Tuesday through Saturday, January 5-9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday through Saturday, January 12-16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, January 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The entry divisions are:
• Seasons in the Garden
• Woodward Park/Linnaeus Teaching Gardens
• Winged Things in the Garden
• Water Features
• Digitally Manipulated
• General Garden Photos
• Youth 12 to 18
• Children under 12
All entries must present a garden theme. Prints may be color or black and white. All prints must be matted with black or white two-inch matte – no frames. Print size must be 5-inch by 7-inch or 8-inch by 10-inch. A maximum of three submissions per division per entrant is allowed. Cost is $5 per entry or three entries for $10. The entrant grants Tulsa Garden Center permission to use images for publicity and fundraising purposes. Entrants should indicate top of submission for placement purposes. All entries should have signed application form (available at Tulsa Garden Center or online at www.TulsaGardenCenter.com) attached to each entry. Entries must be claimed February 2-13 during regular business hours (Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.). All entries not claimed before February 17 become the property of Tulsa Garden Center.
Cash awards will go to 1st place winners in each division, Best in Show and People’s Choice. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention ribbons awarded in each division.
