Portraits of a Garden 2011

Tulsa Garden Center requests entries for the Portraits of a Garden Amateur Photography Contest and Exhibition.

Amateur photographers of all ages, Tulsa Garden Center would love to exhibit your talent for all of the Tulsa area public to view during the Portraits of a Garden Amateur Photography Contest and Exhibition, held at Tulsa Garden Center. Exhibition hours will be January 21, 23, and 25-29, Tuesday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Photographers’ entries may be submitted at Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 S. Peoria Ave. Tuesday through Saturday, January 4-8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday through Saturday, January 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, January 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Woodward Park/Linnaeus

Teaching Gardens

• Garden Creatures

• Water Features

• Digitally Manipulated

• General Garden Photos

• Youth 12 to 18

• Children under 12

All entries must present a garden theme. Prints may be color or black and white. All prints must be matted with black or white two or three inch matte; no frames are allowed. Minimum print size allowed is 5”x7” matted with an 8”x10” matte or 8”x10” matted with an 11”x14” matte. A maximum of three submissions per division per entrant is accepted. The cost is $5 per entry or three entries for $10. All entrants grant Tulsa Garden Center permission to use images for publicity and fundraising purposes. Entrants should indicate top of submission for placement purposes. All entries should have signed application form (available at Tulsa Garden Center or online at www.tulsagardencenter.com) attached to each entry. Entries must be claimed February 1-5 and 8-12 during regular business hours (Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.). All entries not claimed before February 13 become the property of Tulsa Garden Center.

Cash awards will go to 1st place winners in each division, Best in Show and People’s Choice. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention ribbons awarded in each division.
