Lead Technician Dwayne David and Service Manager Phillip Nash set department standards high to ensure every customer’s satisfaction at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge.

Phillip Nash was recently promoted to service manager at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Tulsa. Phillip moved to the Tulsa area in 1999 and served as a service advisor for a couple of local automobile dealerships prior to beginning employment with South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge in 2007.

While in college in Texas, Phillip was studying to become an artist and cartoonist, when he was given the opportunity to work summers and part time during the school year at a car dealership. He was first hired to jockey vehicles, but when an opportunity arose, he told the department head that he could pinstripe and apply body side moldings to cars ready to leave the body shop. He was soon handling pinstripe and body molding services for three of the organization’s dealerships. Phillip found that he really enjoyed the automotive industry and later sold extended warranty contracts for two different companies from 1990 to 1999.

As the new service manager at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Phillip is proud of the company’s outstanding certified service technicians. “They are totally customer oriented, as is the entire staff at South Pointe,” he says. “I’m excited about my new position, and to further show our commitment to the customer and continue providing exemplary service, we’ve added two new service advisors to the department.” There are now a total of four advisors on the drive to assist customers as they bring their vehicles in for recommended preventive maintenance or other services.

Phillip says that changes are constantly being made to make each customer’s service experience the best available. He has several ideas on the drawing board that he hopes to introduce down the road. Whenever you bring your automobile in for service, it receives South Pointe’s standard vehicle checkup that includes inspections and testing of brakes, suspension, and alignment, utilizing state-of-the-art Hunter computerized equipment. This process is much faster than a visual inspection, plus it can identify many problems that would not be caught by a visual inspection alone. And the service is free.

The easy-to-understand testing results are carefully explained to each customer and will note whether the brake, suspension, and alignment are in good shape or will soon be needing attention. The report also provides information on alignment, details of how each tire is wearing, and if the vehicle is in need of new tires. Phillip and South Pointe want to do everything possible to keep you and your car on the road running safely and optimally throughout the year, whatever the weather or conditions.

Phillip’s customer service policy is a simple one. “If we are able to keep our technicians happy and provide them with leading-edge automotive service skills and equipment, we will be able to keep our customers happy.” Chrysler has increased the opportunity for training individual technicians this year through web courses, online classes, and testing. “Each of our factory certified techs must test out of courses with a passing grade in order to keep their certification ratings,” says Phillip.

The service department of South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge provides service to all vehicle makes and models, and reminds us that simple recommended preventive maintenance services can greatly extend the life of your vehicle.
