Are you looking for a wonderful restaurant with to enjoy with family and friends? Perhaps you are in need of a place to have a small business meeting or a group get-together. Hengyu “Teddy” Zhu invites you to try Buffet City in Owasso for awesome food with an Asian flair.

You will be greeted at the door by one of the friendly hostesses, possibly Teddy’s fiancée’ Ling Chen. As dictated by Chinese custom, patrons are welcomed with cheerfulness and treated as a special guest. From the beautiful chandelier over the dining area, to the stained glass at each booth, dining at Buffet City is a treat for the eyes as well as the palate. The spacious restaurant has traditional Chinese decorations intermingled with softly glowing sky-blue ceilings and soothing background music. “We like for our guests to relax and enjoy a great meal in a quiet atmosphere that lets you talk and laugh and forget your busy day,” said Teddy.

What you won’t soon forget is the food. Buffet City is a combination of many things in one; a Super Buffet, Mongolian Barbeque, and a Sushi Bar and Grill. They serve Chinese, American and Japanese cuisine. From traditional offerings such as shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken to specialties including salmon, mussels, crab and dumplings… Buffet City has it all. A complete salad bar with soup, appetizers, fresh fruits and ice cream is available as well.

With over 160 items on the buffet, there is always something new to discover, as well as the favorites that bring you back time after time. Teddy points out that all of their dishes are made fresh daily and they have a tradition of excellent food quality and great customer service to maintain. “I personally make sure we use only the freshest ingredients so that we can offer a fabulous dining experience every time you in,” says Teddy.

If you don’t have time to dine in, there is an extensive carry-out menu available as well. There are many chef specials to choose from, as well as special combination platters to please even the pickiest eaters. Trying to be health-conscious? Buffet City offers Health Dishes, meals that are dish steamed with no oil, MSG or corn starch, served with white rice and choice of sauce (brown, garlic or white) on the side.

Teddy says the choices are consistent from the lunch buffet to the dinner buffet, so your favorite is always available. The lunch buffet ($5.99) is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. Dinner buffet ($7.99) hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Sunday Buffet ($7.99) is available all day from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. There is a 10 % discount for Senior Citizens and children under 4 always eat free. Children 4-10 have a discounted rate of $3.60 for lunch and $4.60 for dinner and Sunday’s.

A private meeting room is available for small groups (between 20 and 30 guests) and Teddy offers a 10% discount for groups of 20 or more with previous reservations. “Just give me a call and let me know you are coming and we will have everything ready for you,” said Teddy. The private room is available for parties, rehearsal dinners, church meetings and the like. It’s a great place to get together with family and friends and let someone else do the cooking and clean-up while you enjoy the pleasant atmosphere.

Buffet City has been open in Owasso for a little over 2 years and Teddy said it has been an exciting time for him. “We are doing well. It’s been great to watch Owasso grow since we opened and we are happy to be here,” said Teddy. “Owasso is a great town and I will continue to live here after I am married in March. We are proud to be part of this growing community.”
