Rick Medlin (M&M Automotive) “passes the wrench” in a symbolic gesture to Nate Hayes and Larry Grimm of Team-One Automotive in Broken Arrow.

Rick Medlin began M&M Automotive in Broken Arrow and has faithfully served his customers for 44 years. Offering professional automotive service specializing in maintenance and general automotive repair, Rick takes pride in providing quality and service at a fair price. “I reached a point in my life where it was time to ‘pass the wrench,’” says Rick. Since honesty and integrity have always topped his list, Rick was determined to find a shop that would treat his customers with respect. “I actually selected these boys,” said Rick. These boys are Nathan Hayes and Larry Grimm of Team-One Automotive, and Rick assures us that they share his business values.
Nate and Larry started Team-One Automotive nearly six years ago. They have been at their current Broken Arrow location two years and are only two doors south of M&M Automotive. Nate has 22 years in the automotive business and Larry has 28. The two worked at various shops in the Tulsa area for years and became best friends while working together at a dealership.
Nate moved to Oklahoma with his family, attended Yukon High School, and graduated from Canadian Valley Vo-Tech. He was immediately hired by a prominent Ford dealership.
Larry moved to Oklahoma when he was 16 and became a shop porter. He was quickly promoted to warranty advisor and became a warranty administrator when he was only 19. He has 28 years in the automotive profession.
Larry and Nate agreed that with their combined business knowledge, they should be running their own automotive shop. Both men are ASE master technicians and BG Chemical certified. Team-One has ten employees including a diesel master certified technician. They service every make and model from small and simple to some of the most expensive vehicles manufactured.
“We are a full service automotive repair and diesel repair facility and performance center,” said Larry. Team-One is equipped with all dealer-level diagnostic scanning tools and capabilities. Their technicians are certified and trained by ASE. They are skilled in diagnosing and correcting tough drivability problems, adding extra pulling power to trucks and SUVs, and correcting issues with diesel fuel injection pumps, fuel injectors, and turbos. They also perform maintenance and repairs to brakes, A/C units, electrical systems, engine lights and all other maintenance and services associated with the automotive business.
“If you’ve been doing business with M&M Automotive, we will stand behind the warranties you had with them,” said Nate. Team-One Automotive is also a certified Napa AutoCare Center. They provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family-owned business.
“Your vehicle is a major investment,” said Nate. “That’s why we care for it like we own it.  Come in, say hello and let us give you a tour of our shop. We know we can make a difference in caring for your vehicle.”
