Shade tree mechanics may not be as numerous as they were prior to the highly computerized modern vehicle, but there are a lot of you who still enjoy the pleasure and satisfaction to be found in working on your own car or truck.

You may have driven right past the 80,000-square-foot warehouse with an additional 60,000-square-foot mezzanine as you’ve headed east or west on 61st Street between Garnett and 129th East Avenue. The company has been in business in the Tulsa area for more than 30 years and was originally known as Fred Jones Parts Warehouse. They have been doing business as United Ford Parts Distribution Center for the past eight years at the 61st Street location.

United Ford Parts Distribution Center is owned by Penske Automotive Group, the second largest publicly traded automotive retailer in the United States. Penske owns and operates 156 franchises in the United States and 148 internationally.

The Tulsa-based Parts Distribution Center carries $6 million in Ford, Lincoln and Mercury parts, with a total of $12 million in total parts. “We warehouse over 78,000 individual parts in our state-of-the-art warehouse,” says General Manager Rusty Magiera. Chances are if you need a part for your car or truck, gasoline or diesel powered, United Ford is going to have it in stock. They always keep a large inventory of Ford medium and heavy truck parts on hand.   

United Ford carries a full line of global air conditioning parts for all makes of cooling products, including air conditioner compressor kits, condensers, dryers, expansion valves, radiators, flush kits and more. These are high quality new parts, not remanufactured, and they are reasonably priced. The parts will meet or exceed OE (original equipment) specifications. United Ford also carries a nice inventory of new and remanufactured engines and transmissions – gasoline and diesel, plus rear end assemblies.
