Thomas Kwik Kar now serves the public with two locations – Owasso and Claremore. The business is best known for its quality service and upbeat attitude that makes customers feel as though they are part of the Thomas Kwik Kar family and right at home the minute they drive onto the lot. If you park in a spot in front of the store, it’s common for an employee to meet you at your car’s door and greet you with, “Welcome to Thomas Kwik Kar. How may we help you today?”

Beginning their business as a mobile operation in Owasso in 1998, Cindy and James Thomas now co-own both Thomas Kwik Kar locations in Owasso and Claremore. According to Cindy, “We’re really glad when customers come in to see us, and we never want to take anyone for granted. That’s why we go the extra mile in making them feel welcomed the minute they arrive. We truly consider each customer to be part of our extended family.”

In visiting with the Thomas family, it’s obvious how they feel about the services they afford to each customer’s vehicle. As James says, “There’s a trend today of  people not taking care of their automobiles the way they used to.” James recommends that your car’s oil be changed every 3,000 miles, in most instances. Synthetic oils will stretch the recommended period to 5,000 miles, but synthetics cost a little more up front. Oil changes really become a factor when it comes to the type of driving you do and the amount of time you have available to return for recommended services. According to Cindy and James, recommended intervals for changing engine coolant and brake fluid is two years. Their recommendation for tire rotation is 6,000 to 12,000 miles, again depending on the type of driving you do.

Thomas Kwik Kar offers a 36-point trip safety inspection and suggests it to anyone planning on heading out of town. “And be sure to bring your car or truck in for inspection at least two weeks before departing,” says James. This will allow time to order any parts and perform the services well in advance of your hitting the road. If you wait until the last minute, you may have to wait on a replacement part to be ordered.

Thomas Kwik Kar employee Alex Thomas finishes up a first-class detail job.

The Thomas team takes pride not only in listening to their customers, but in educating them on how to best care for their vehicles. Taking good care of your car or truck can help make your investment a long-term relationship. Thomas Kwik Kar’s ASE certified technicians provide fast service, quality products and a guarantee to back up both. They service both domestic and foreign vehicles, gas and diesel. They also welcome RVs for servicing. One lesson Cindy and James try to make clear is that low-cost routine maintenance to your vehicle often helps prevent future high-cost repairs and replacements.

Services provided by Thomas Kwik Kar include air conditioning, alignments, alternators, brakes, batteries, computer diagnostic, front ends, fuel pumps, heater cores, hoses, oil changes, power steering, radiators, rear ends, shocks, struts, starters, thermostats, timing belts, tires, transmissions, tune up, water pumps, wheel bearings, and much, much more.

Thomas Kwik Kar has been a member of the Owasso Chamber since 2000 and a member of the Claremore Chamber since 2005. They are also members of the Oklahoma State Chamber and support economic development on city, county and state levels.

As Cindy sums it up, “We always try to go the extra mile with our customer service.” Check out Thomas Kwik Kar today and treat your vehicle to what it’s been missing.
