The holidays are a magical time of year, but they can also be really stressful, especially if you are responsible for hosting a get-together in your home. Not only do you have to finish all your holiday shopping and gift-wrapping, you also have to make the house sparkling clean and whip up a delightful meal for all your guests. To make your holiday meal easier and tastier, order a delicious honey-kissed ham or turkey from The Hamlet.

Since 1986, The Hamlet has been known around Tulsa as the place to go when you want “only the best for your family and guests.” Their exclusive honey-kissed ham is certain to please all your visitors. “We use only the finest honey-cured hams specially prepared for The Hamlet. We then spiral slice and fire-glaze each ham with a recipe of honey and imported spices,” explains owner Larry Lyster. “The result is a beautiful, mouthwatering honey-kissed ham that can’t be beaten anywhere.” Several sizes are available to accommodate your party needs.

If turkey is more your style, The Hamlet offers whole smoked turkeys or boneless, spiral-sliced, all white meat honey-kissed turkey breasts. Like the hams, the turkeys are specially handled and selected for quality and tenderness. If your home-cooked turkey last year was a little on the dry side, your company will be very pleasantly surprised when you serve up a savory turkey from The Hamlet.

Larry advises customers to order as early as possible to make sure they receive the right size ham or turkey. Hams range from 6 to 18 pounds, and whole smoked turkeys range from 10 to 16 pounds.

If you simply don’t have the time – or the skill – to cook an entire delicious holiday meal, The Hamlet has you covered. You can call and order The Hamlet Holiday Meal, pick it up the day of the party, and dinner is served. The meal includes a 6 to 8 pound honey-kissed ham or a 10 to 12 pound whole smoked turkey; mashed potatoes and gravy; Hamlet sage dressing; one and a half dozen rolls; and your choice of green beans almandine, corn casserole, glazed carrots or candy yams.

For dessert, add a pumpkin cheesecake, bread pudding, a Bavarian cream cheesecake, or one of your favorite pies. A variety of Hamlet cake balls are available, as well as Hamlet Hammies, pig-shaped sugar cookies that are a favorite with the little ones.

The Hamlet also caters to those who enjoy doing their own cooking, offering a variety of products by Barefoot Contessa, Stonewall Kitchen and Robert Rothschild, as well as its own line of specialty foods to serve or give. You’ll find pecan pie or fudge pecan pie in a jar, pancake and muffin mixes, pickled quail eggs, apple butter, raspberry chipotle sauce, sweet baby corn, and dilled green beans. They also stock a large inventory of made-in-Oklahoma products.

Any of these items can be put in a customized gift basket, starting as low as $45. “These are popular corporate gifts locally and to ship anywhere in the country. We also offer corporate discounts,” says Larry. “You can even ship our hams and turkeys as wonderful holiday gifts for family and friends out of state.”

If you’re in a pinch and need a quick party platter when unexpected guests drop in, call The Hamlet. They offer trays with meats, veggies, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, finger sandwiches, fruit, salads and more.

Make arrangements now for full service catering, pick ups or personal meal planning. Call or stop by any of the three locations, and a courteous staff member will go over your needs and come up with the perfect solution. A full lunch menu is available at the 91st and Sheridan store and at the Smith Farm Marketplace store in Owasso. The 71st and Trenton store offers an abbreviated menu. In addition to The Hamlet honey-kissed ham and turkey, they offer an assortment of Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, cold sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, wraps, salads, ham and beans, chili, and soup.

When you want only the best for family and guests, get a honey-kissed ham (or turkey) from The Hamlet. Holiday store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
