The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame is hosting its Spring Jazz Concert performances on Sunday afternoons in the month of March.

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame is hosting its Spring Jazz Concert performances on Sunday afternoons in the month of March. All Sunday concerts will begin at 5 p.m. at the Jazz Depot, located in the old Union Depot Station at 111 E. 1st St. in downtown Tulsa.

General admission is just ten dollars. Jazz Hall of Fame members, senior citizens and college students pay a reduced cost of five dollars. Verdigris and Edison High School Jazz Ensembles – 5pm

Jason Ofori of the Mike Leland Trio

The Jazz Hall always enjoys showcasing the talented youth in our community. Two of the best high school jazz ensembles take the stage and will capture your heart and musical mind with their commanding play. Both groups are Oklahoma music award winners as the best in their class. These outstanding young Oklahomans will make you proud.

An Evening with Darrell Christopher - 5pm

With signature songs including “Ain’t Misbehavin” and “Yo Feets Too Big”, Darrell Christopher is quite the entertainer. Showcasing his fabulous blues, jazz and gospel roots will bring present the audience with old favorites and some real surprises in his diverse
offerings.

Saturday, March 15 - Special Day & Time

Jimmy Markham’s Harmonica Day 7:30 pm

Oklahoma Blues legend and Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee, Jimmy Markham will showcase his blazing talent on the harmonica, in a special Saturday event, March 15th at 7:30 pm. The well-loved performer will present a full day of activities, music and seminars designed to teach youth about the blues and harmonica. Special guests have been invited from the well-spring of blues greats to join Markham and make this a memorable event indeed.

Sunday, March 16

“Letter From the Depot” - 5pm

Chuck and Sandy Gardner scored big last Summer with this original production. They are back to introduce a whole new group to this wonderful original work by Ms. Gardner. In addition, the trio will perform your favorite jazz standards with Sandy on vocals.

Tuesday, March 18

Mike Leland Trio with Jason Ofori at Gilcrease Museum - 5pm

Sunday, March 30

The Gospel Choir of America Celebrates Easter - 5pm

This amazing group of gospel singers puts on quite a show for Christmas and are now back to celebrate the Easter Holiday. Foot-stomping, hand-clapping and shouts of happiness ring through the Jazz Depot with this glorious choir of singers under the musical direction of Dr. Joey Crutcher.
