Metro Builders Supply is scheduled to open its newest home appliance showroom the second week of September in Owasso. This is the company’s tenth showroom and will be housed in the vacated Hughes Lumber Company building, one block west of German Corner. Kevin Dycus, an Owasso resident who has been employed with Metro for 13 years, is general manager of the new store.
The company’s first appliance showroom opened in 1974 in Tulsa, where the Metro Builders Supply corporate offices remain. With the tremendous success of the Tulsa store, Metro expanded operations over the next 34 years, and today its showrooms are located in four states – Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas. “Metro has the buying power and the industry reputation to offer our customers the best brands, the best service, and the best value in this area,” says Corporate President Guy Minnix. The company is a member of the Home Builders Association, Apartment Association, Design Association and Remodeling Council.
Metro specializes in home appliances including refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and all types of cooking appliances. Some of the major appliance brands you’ll find in the luxurious showrooms are Bosch, Amana, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Viking, Whirlpool, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Wolf and Gaggenau. You will see everything from standard refrigerators to high-end, custom built-in specialties such as under-the-counter wine cellars and icemakers.
Over the years, major appliances have become more technically complex. Fortunately, most of the appliances found in our homes today are more energy-efficient than their predecessors. In order to remain competitive, manufacturers have been forced to make appliances that are not only energy-efficient, but also offer more value and features, plus perform at higher levels of competency.
With a focus on single-family and multiple-family new construction, remodeling, and the apartment replacement business, Metro Builders Supply is dedicated to making the buying experience enjoyable for residents of Owasso and surrounding communities. The knowledgeable sales staff will expertly work with decorators, contractors, individual homeowners and commercial property developers. Metro of Owasso has a great showroom displaying products that are sure to meet individual needs and styles, and perhaps most importantly, individual budgets. Like all Metro stores, the Owasso location has an extensive display of appliance products for the home.
A grand opening for the Owasso Metro store is scheduled for mid-September, and Kevin Dycus encourages residents from the area to watch for the announcement of the official date. “We are excited about our new location in Owasso and about building relationships with area residents,” Dycus said. “We hope everyone will plan on visiting our new showroom, and our grand opening, and consider Metro whenever they are looking for appliances for their new home or remodeling project. We look forward to serving the Owasso area with the greatest selection of products possible and extraordinary customer service.”
