Dr. James Campbell (L) and Malissa Spacek (R) welcome Olga Strickland (Center) to BA Med Spa & Weight Loss Center.
BA Med Spa & Weight Loss Center is pleased to welcome a talented new staff member to the team. Olga Strickland received her medical license in Russia and came to the United States 15 years ago. She has been employed in the medical spa industry for six years and is thrilled to have found a home at BA Med Spa.
Olga has extensive experience and training through the Allergan company, and she skillfully makes clients look their best through laser treatments, dermal fillers, Botox, and more. Most recently, Olga received training in a face-lifting technique using Juvéderm called ArqueDerma™. This technique was developed by Leslie Fletcher, RN, who personally trained Olga in the method.
The ArqueDerma technique uses 25 to 40 percent less filler to achieve unprecedented outcomes while providing longer-lasting results (up to six months longer than conventional methods of filling). “The ArqueDerma facelift technique gives patients dramatic yet natural-looking results using the potential of their own skin and connective
tissue. As we age, our skin loses elasticity. My job is to restore the facial contours to make you look your best,” says Olga.
Juvéderm injections using the ArqueDerma technique can be applied to the lips, cheeks, eyebrows, jaw line, and around the eyes – any place you feel needs improvement and facial volume. It is a one-time procedure with some bruising that resolves within seven to ten days. “The best results can be seen in three weeks and usually last from eight months up to two years depending on the area injected. Patients look really nice, healthy and natural,” says Olga. “It is minimally invasive with maximum results.”
According to Olga, the two things she enjoys most about her work are the positive reactions from her patients and the opportunity to be creative. “One of my hobbies is painting, and to me, my job is like creating art. I’m able to apply my knowledge of anatomy to my painting as well as use my creativity when improving a patient’s appearance,” she says. “Most of the procedures at BA Med Spa have an immediate effect, and it’s very satisfying when people look in the mirror and say, ‘Wow.’ Many people, especially women, have spent their whole lives doing things for everyone else, and they are so happy when they finally do something for themselves and change their looks in a way that makes them happy.”
If you’re finally ready to do something for yourself and look your best for the upcoming holidays, fall is the best time for laser procedures. “Everyone has been out in the summer sun playing tennis and golf, enjoying the lake and taking vacations, and now is the time to repair the sun damage and get ready for the holidays,” says Malissa Spacek, managing partner.
Malissa is excited about a new technology available at BA Med Spa that is not offered at most other places in the region. Laser360 technology combines laser and light therapy for the ultimate skin rejuvenation procedure to address color, tone, texture and tightening of the skin. The series of treatments can be completed in one day, or one treatment per week.
“Laser360 is a brand-new technology that stimulates collagen growth and helps with hyperpigmentation, vascularity, laxity of the skin, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne scarring to reveal brighter, younger and healthier-looking skin,” says Malissa.
Fall starts this month and with it comes a barrage of holiday get-togethers, parties and social events – now is the time to get ready to look your best! Call BA Med Spa & Weight Loss Center at (918) 872-9999 to schedule your consultation.
