Lancôme counter manager Stephanie Harrison welcomes you to feel like a star with help from national makeup artist Robert Cook.

Ever wonder what it would be like to have a makeup artist to the stars do magic on your face? Find out September 10 and 11 as Belk Tulsa Hills welcomes national makeup artist Robert Cook during the Lancôme National Makeup Artist Event.

Robert Cook has appeared on numerous television programs, and his work has been featured in magazines, on fashion runways and at the Sundance Film Festival. A leader in his field, Robert has minimized flaws and brought out the best in famous faces that include Angelina Jolie, Rosanna Arquette, Jean Smart, Lisa Loeb and Oprah Winfrey.

The Tucson native is known as a man who loves his work, which he views simply as helping women discover their natural beauty. Robert graduated from art school and began his career with Lancôme 20 years ago from behind a sales counter. Now you’ll find him maximizing women’s beauty during makeup events throughout south central United States.

xLancôme counter manager Stephanie Harrison says Belk Tulsa Hills is honored to host Robert’s first appearance at any Belk store in the region. A pro team of regional artists will first cleanse and moisturize each lady’s skin and apply the appropriate foundation and concealer. A skincare regimen with good cleansing and moisturizing forms the basis of Robert’s natural look in makeup.

Then the master artist will personalize each lady’s makeup as he shows her the secrets of perfecting her own unique star style. His goal is to give each woman the look of a beautiful, glowing complexion and to teach her how to better care for it.

“Every client will interact with Robert,” adds Stephanie, “to specifically address which feature concerns her the most – for instance, eyes, facial contouring or cheeks.”

For more than 60 years Lancôme has been a pioneer in the makeup industry. Today they are best known for receiving awards for four out of the five best mascaras in the world, and for their strides in anti-aging foundation. Their ongoing objective is to produce younger looking, smoother skin – like you see on the stars. You too can experience this transformation, during the National Makeup Artist Event at Belk Tulsa Hills.

The Creek Turnpike makes Tulsa Hills easy to get to, and customers can park right at Belk’s door to quickly pick up whatever they need at the Lancôme counter. The full line of skincare products, makeup, sun and body products, and fragrance is available.

“We’re small enough so I know all my clients,” says Stephanie. “I consider them my friends, and I offer one-on-one service that they can’t find elsewhere.”

Belk opened in March of last year as a flagship store for Tulsa Hills. The new shopping center is located at 71st St. and Highway 75 South. It’s convenient to Tulsa, Sapulpa, Glenpool, Sand Springs, Jenks, Broken Arrow and Bixby.

The Lancôme National Makeup Artist Event takes place Thursday, September 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets for this exclusive event are limited. Call Stephanie at (918) 447-6823, extension 268 for full details.
