If you like a rustic-style décor and total originality, head to Bixby’s destination shop The Refuge Lifestyle! This unique store provides a warm, friendly atmosphere that, by definition, means a safe place offering peace, comfort and enjoyable surroundings.

The Refuge Lifestyle is located just west of Memorial on 151st Street next to Conrad Farms, and is family owned and operated by Clinton Taylor Sr., Sandra Taylor, Clinton Taylor Jr., and Robin Taylor. In addition to making unique, rustic home furnishings from logs, barn wood, oak, walnut, and cedar, Clinton Sr. also does complete home renovations and repairs. “Our craftsmen work with our customers to design one-of-a-kind, unique pieces of heirloom furniture, and complete bathrooms and kitchens,” he says.

When you visit The Refuge Lifestyle, you’ll find a variety of products suitable for fine dining, elegant kitchens and bedrooms. There are a variety of beds, such as canopies, day-beds, bunks beds, metal insert beds, and elk antler beds made with unique woods ranging from aspen, barn wood, pine, oak, walnut cedar, and swamp juniper. In addition, you will want to check out the variety of nightstands, chests, dressers and mirrors that accommodate the complete set. You’ll see antler lighting, world-class taxidermy, fireplace screens, tool sets, end tables, coffee tables and sofa tables made from the same unique woods.

“The fine furniture quality of our products,” said Robin, “are environmentally-friendly designs and finishes.” Clinton Sr. and his craftsmen create their products from dead standing trees only. Non-toxic finishes are applied to the custom-made final products.

The Refuge Lifestyle provides an opportunity to shop some truly unique gift ideas for any occasion, and any time of year. November 1-4, The Refuge Lifestyle will be celebrating a

re-grand opening. The Taylors are providing an opportunity for local and surrounding area vendors to set up and exhibit their talents and craftsmanship to be on display. Some of the vendors include Vanderford Carvings, Rocksyglass, Stone Creek Décor, Spirit of the Outdoors, Aux Arc Fur Traders, Rope Designs by Ron, and Signature Interiors.

The re-grand opening event will have free food catered by 2 Divas Catering, Simple Simon’s Pizza, Taco Bueno (while it lasts!), and there will be chances to win Apple Barrel gift cards, Tulsa 66er tickets, and $25 gift certificates to The Refuge Lifestyle for those who register online at the website, www.TheRefugeLifestyle.com, or on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/therefugelifestyle.
