Tamara Conner is happy to recommend interior decorator Linda Butcher.
The air is crisp, the leaves are falling and it feels like all of nature is tucking in for the coming winter. Early sunsets and colder temperatures mean more time will be spent indoors. Is your home ready? If not, now is the perfect time to add the finishing touches that make your home beautiful and welcoming for family and friends.
Interior decorator Linda Butcher has been helping her clients take their homes to the next level for over 30 years. If your home is a regular gathering place for friends and family, call Linda now to schedule a free consultation and turn your decorating visions into reality before the guests arrive. Whether you want to spruce up one room or reinvent the entire house, Linda can take you from start to finish, including paint, flooring, window treatments, bedding and accessories.
During the initial complimentary consultation, Linda will meet with you in your home to gain a sense of your style, define the scope of the project and discuss the budget. When you’re ready to proceed, Linda will return to discuss color schemes, fabrics, and flooring choices including carpeting, ceramic tile, wood and custom area rugs. Linda is blessed to have her sister-in-law and best friend, Katherine Troglin, as her assistant. “Katherine and I work very well together; it’s great to have a second set of eyes as you place furniture and choose accessories.”
Custom bedding and window treatments are a specialty, and Linda makes use of wood blinds, plantation shutters and a huge selection of fabric choices to make each room special. Whether you prefer a look that is Traditional, Rustic Lodge, Native American, Old World, Western, French Country or Tropical, Linda is the right source for you.
Linda has a passion for her work and feels that accessories – pictures, mirrors, floral arrangements and other decorative items – give each space a unique touch. “I can’t stress enough that accessories are the icing on the cake,” says Linda. “Regardless of the square footage, accessories add the personal touch that transforms a house into a home.” Linda is an expert at blending new pieces with the customers’ existing treasures for a seamless look.
One of the most unique services Linda offers is that she carries a large array of accessories. Linda and Katherine visit the customer’s home to determine their style, and will then return with Linda’s Suburban loaded with accessories that would fit well into the home. “We bring what we need with us, to accessorize in one step. No running here and there trying to find what you need.” Linda and Katherine place the furniture and accessory items, leaving the room picture perfect.
Linda also points out that no job is too big or small. Her projects have included homes of all sizes and styles. She works with commercial clients as well and has redecorated churches, businesses and entire suites of offices. Linda can also help you stage a home that is being offered for sale, or organize your home to help make that all-important first impression a good one. “Sometimes people hesitate to call because they think they need to get their house organized first. I can help clients get their homes organized.”
Some of Linda’s favorite makeovers have been given for a loved one marking a birthday, retirement or other special occasion. Linda can collaborate with family members to complete the project as a surprise, or a gift certificate can be presented for someone who would prefer to be actively involved.
Long-time customer Tamara Conner has worked with Linda on a variety of projects throughout her home and patio area. “Linda is great at helping you define your own style, not pushing her ideas on you,” says Tamara. “She’s helped me make my home beautiful but very functional for my family, and her enthusiasm is contagious.”
