As school kicks off, so does the usual range of extracurricular activities. If you have a little girl who is involved in dance classes, you will be glad to know that Emily’s Playhouse has expanded its line of dancewear to include anything and everything you might need to outfit her for practices and performances.

“We have a great line of Leo’s Dancewear, and we would love to get the word out,” says Cindy Rickard, owner of Emily’s Playhouse. “We have tan and black tap shoes, ballet shoes, shorts jazz pants, tights, leotards and tutus, as well as accessories.”

This dancewear is displayed with an already wide array of clothing choices for children – outfits, special occasion dresses, socks and accessories. Emily’s Playhouse carries the popular children’s clothing line Mudpie and many others, and Cindy wants customers to remember that even though only clothing and shoes are eligible for the Oklahoma’s Tax Free weekend, August 5-7, the discount applies to any size of clothing, even those for infants. At Emily’s Playhouse, there is a wide selection of baby shoes and clothing to choose from, like Baby Deer shoes and Initial Baby Clothing, so those who are shopping for a baby gift or an upcoming arrival will want to be sure and mark this weekend on their calendar to take advantage of the discount.

As always, Emily’s Playhouse is a joy to visit for anyone who has children or grandchildren or who is just a kid at heart. Name brand, sought-after toy lines are always in stock at Emily’s Playhouse, including Webkinz, Fuzzy Nation, Groovy Girl, Madame Alexander Sweet Baby Nursery, Baby Stella, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Papo Figurines. For those who love to purchase educational toys, the Melissa and Doug product line fits the bill perfectly, with wooden puzzles, wooden play food and standing easels, as well as floor toys like learning mats and floor puzzles.

Education is very important to Cindy, and this is especially evident by her ever-growing collection of books for sale. All kinds of books can be found at Emily’s Playhouse, from baby board and cloth books to sticker books to rich and colorful picture and story books. Cindy’s passion for reading started in her own childhood, and she has continuously added more and more books to her store’s collection because of that. She has also recently received many requests from the public to add even more. Her search for new lines led her to the Usborne and Kate Miller Collection of flashcards and books. She was also delighted to find out that Usborne and Kate Miller is produced right here in Oklahoma. “I simply went to check out and order the product,” Cindy relates. “Then I found out the company was in Tulsa – I had no idea!”

If it is time for your child to put on her dancing shoes, be sure to visit Cindy at Emily’s Playhouse to find those shoes and anything she might need for dance class – or for school, home and play. There is no limit to where the imagination can run once it enters the door of Emily’s Playhouse. Check out their website at www.emilysplayhouse.com
