Tulsa Transit is excited to introduce their new EZ Rider Program. This local transportation provider has made bus riding a great alternative to driving and now they are taking it to new level by offering their customers more ways to save money. Riding the bus has always been an exceptional way to save money, especially now with sky rocketing gas prices.

“With this new rewards program the value to you increases,” according to Cynthia Staab, Assistant General Manager with Tulsa Transit Authority. January was the first month for this new value-added service. Like the program banner suggests, it’s EZ to get rolling. “The new EZ Rider fare cards and passes cost the same, but riders are entitled to more than just a ride,” Staab says.

“Tulsa Transit customers holding the EZ Rider pass and fare cards are entitled to discounts at 36 area businesses with over 70 locations to choose from.” Discounts are offered at restaurants, sporting events, and entertainment attractions as well as many service and retail businesses (see the merchant list at right).

“Taking advantage of the merchant discounts can make your bus trip nearly free. The $3 EZ Rider Day Pass provides you unlimited rides for a day and using the pass for discounts at just a few participating merchants covers your bus fare with the savings.” Show the valid EZ Rider pass; it’s that easy!

The list of merchants is growing, according to Staab. “Local businesses can join the program at no cost and potentially increase their business.” Sign-up forms are available on the Tulsa Transit website at www.tulsatransit.org. The website also offers details on the specific discounts available at each of the participating merchants. Just show a valid EZ Rider fare card and receive the designated discount.

With already 36 merchants the list is expected to grow rapidly! Charles Richardson, a Tulsa Transit bus rider benefits from the program. “I’m really excited; it’s a good concept and there are so many businesses represented.” Join him and countless riders discovering how EZ this new program is. Next time you ride, pick up a flyer that lists the participating merchants or go online - www.tulsatransit.org – for complete details. Ride the Tulsa Transit to get great discounts. You didn’t know value could be so EZ with their new EZ Rider Fare Card.
