When you hear the word “hamlet,” you may think of an idyllic village with cozy, thatched cottages set in a medieval countryside. Or you may think of the famous Shakespeare play by the same name. But chances are if you are from the Tulsa area, when you hear “The Hamlet,” you automatically think of “honey-kissed” ham or smoked turkey, perfect for any Christmas feast.

The Hamlet still prepares the hams that made them famous, and the also they offer so much more for the holidays. Crystal Vivion, who operates the two Tulsa Hamlet locations with her sister, owner Shannon Hester, and her father, Gordon Pendergraft, points out that many wonderful products can combine with a Hamlet ham or turkey to make a perfect gift. “A Hamlet ham gift basket typically consists of a ham or center cut, along with chipotle sauce, cream cheese and crackers, and a gourmet jelly,” she says. “We custom build these baskets according to your price point.” Delivery and shipping are available for both hams and ham baskets.

Other types of gift baskets can be built at The Hamlet as well, using any of the wide range of fine gourmet products available: Funky Chunky Popcorn (regular, sea salt, candy cane and caramel), Stonewall Kitchen, Robert Rothchild’s Farm, My Dad’s Salsa, Bellini Mixers, Laredo’s Bloody Mary Mixers, Southbend Chocolate Candied Popcorn, and much more. The Hamlet displays several shelves of Stonewall Kitchen gift boxes, featuring choices such as Blueberry Breakfast, which includes pancake and waffle mix, Wild Maine Blueberry syrup and jam, and a holiday tea towel – all wrapped up in a lovely gift box and ready to put under the tree.

Cooks in the crowd will also want to check out another of Crystal’s favorite products: Stonewall Kitchen’s Pies in a Jar, which come in a wide variety of flavors, from apple to cherry to pumpkin, and can either be placed right into the pie shell or only require minimal, perishable ingredients before cooking. Pies in a Jar also make great ice cream toppings. For the holiday, Crystal especially recommends the Pecan or Chocolate Pecan, which only require the addition of eggs – taking much of the work out of a flavorful but normally labor-intensive holiday classic. Also for pie lovers: The Hamlet offers gift boxes from Plentiful Pantry, complete with decorative pie plate and pie mix, ready to wrap up for that person who loves to bake.

Any of the fine products available at The Hamlet make perfect single item gifts as well for your holiday office party, for which The Hamlet can provide a tasty box lunch or deli tray using the finest Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. Boar’s Head is famous not only for its flavor, but for its commitment to providing excellent deli products that are gluten-free, nitrate-free, and as preservative-free as possible. With a 24-hour notice, The Hamlet can have your party spread ready and waiting, taking a large part of the labor and worry out of the process for the party planner.

And that is really what holidays at The Hamlet are all about. “We try to take on some of the stress,” says Crystal, “So that everyone can better enjoy their holiday.”
