Tim Miller became the owner of Owasso Auto Care in 2012. “I had an opportunity to buy the business and wanted to provide Owasso and surrounding areas something different from the big stores in our area,” said Tim. He moved to Owasso with family in 1974 and is now raising his own kids here, and he is totally invested in the Owasso community.

Tim retired from the military in 2002 after serving his country for 20 years in 26 countries, including in Central and South America. After serving all over the world, Tim calls Owasso home. He says that originally, he needed the military to help him get money to attend college. After serving five years active duty, he joined the Reserves and served in Desert Storm, Bosnia and Kosovo and received training at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (SWCS) at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He was later assigned to an A-Team, a squad of U.S. Army Special Forces troops now called ODAs (Operation Detachment Alphas). “The Special Forces are the ‘silent professionals’ who take a lot of pride in doing their secretive jobs well,” says Tim.

Tim believes his Special Forces training gives him the drive and ability to do whatever needs doing. “I still don’t let anyone try to tell me that I can’t do something,” he says.

Tim says he always had an interest in auto mechanics. When given the opportunity to purchase Owasso Auto Care, it seemed like the natural thing to do. “We provide all services for virtually any type of vehicle including older cars and hot rods,” said Tim. “We’ve grown from one mechanic to three in the short time we’ve been serving Owasso.” His auto specialists include veterans Mike Figart, David Figart and Billy Green, who represent a total of 60 years in auto mechanics and are well-known in the community.

Some of the shop’s specialties include engine, transmission, front end, electrical, and brake service, oil and filter changes and more. They do just about everything except for paint and collision repair, and they offer a one-year/12,000 mile warranty on parts and services.

Tim enjoys explaining to customers how to check the fluid levels in their cars and even do some of the light maintenance repairs. This is a service he offers free of charge to anyone interested in learning more about their vehicle and how to care for it to improve its life and performance.

The team at Owasso Auto Care wants to be known as a friendly shop that provides accurate diagnostic services, at a fair price, delivered in a reasonable time to their customers. “Honesty has always been the best policy for me,” says Tim. “That’s what brings customers back time after time. It’s all about relationships and good service at a fair price. Our main objective is to gain your trust.” Active military and retired veterans receive a ten percent discount at Owasso Auto Care.
