Golf Club of Oklahoma is looking for a few good men, women, individuals and local businesses to help make the annual Guns & Hoses Golf Tournament another rousing success. The Guns & Hoses Tournament, hosted by Golf Club of Oklahoma, was designed to honor, recognize and show community appreciation to firefighters, police officers, military personnel, EMSA, and any service men and women who serve in the communities of Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and Coweta.

The goal of the Guns & Hoses Golf Tournament is to enlist teams of four – men and/or women – to engage in a little good ol’ clean and healthy competition on the links. Plus, this is a great opportunity for each of our communities to show appreciation and support to these brave men and women who put their lives on the line for us each day.

The Guns & Hoses face-off is scheduled for Monday, November 8, 2010 at The Golf Club of Oklahoma, and will begin with a shotgun start at high noon, a very fitting time for a showdown. The competition is classified as a four-man scramble tournament and is assured to be a classic event. In case you haven’t heard, there is always a little good-natured competition between municipal police and fire departments.

A tradition will commence this year with the awarding of a Traveling Trophy. Proceeds from sponsorships will be donated to the winning team’s charity of choice.

Tournament sponsorships and team sponsorships are available to individuals and businesses throughout Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and Coweta. This year’s premiere sponsor is 1-800-BOARDUP, a company specializing in securing buildings, protecting people, and minimizing damage due to fire and water.

Other sponsorship packages available include a player package sponsor (sponsor a single player or a foursome), beverage cart sponsor, corporate sponsor, awards sponsor, longest drive contest sponsor, closest to the pin contest sponsor, and hole sponsor (18 total available).

Each registered player will enjoy hamburgers for lunch, plus an invitation to attend the awards ceremony and dinner after winners have been determined. Dinner sponsor for the event is Golf Club of Oklahoma.

The Guns & Hoses event is open to 25 four-man teams. Team members will be eligible to receive lots of great prizes that will be awarded the day of the event.

To enter a team, sponsor a team, request information about available sponsorships, or volunteer your time for the day in support of our service people, contact Kittie Dishman at (918) 279-3550. Everyone in the four-community area is invited to come out as a spectator and witness the golf action and competition between our dedicated service people.
