Verna, Kurt and Linda Lewis invite you to their next Tuesday night auction.

For ten years, Heartland Auto Auction has been providing hundreds of cars a week to both dealers and the public. If you’re interested in saving money on a car (as much as 20%), come out and see them.

Heartland Auto, located on Route 66 (up on the hill) is family-owned and operated. It is, in fact, the only family-owned auto auction in the Tulsa area – the others are corporately-owned. The company was purchased ten years ago by Jack and Verna Lewis – their son Kurt and his wife Linda.

Because of this, Heartland Auto can provide its customers with the best service possible. Their staff is friendly and courteous, and if you need, you can deal directly with the owners.

Heartland Auto holds its auctions weekly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Auctions take place rain or shine, and are open to dealers and the public to buy and sell. Heartland Auto typically handles about 200 vehicles per week, mostly cars, trucks, and vans, although they’ll sell anything, including motorcycles, trailers and boats. Ten percent of these vehicles are being sold by private owners. Heartland Auto completely handles the transactions and guarantees the titles.

Prices range widely, and can start as low as $50. The average car sale price is $2400, which makes Heartland Auto a great place to pick up a car with your tax return money.

The best time to come out to Heartland Auto is after 3 p.m. on Tuesdays for viewing. You can check out that week’s selection, find a vehicle you like, start it up and look it over before bidding starts.

Heartland Auto’s auctions feature three simultaneous lanes, which can be a bit overwhelming for first-timers. Linda Lewis recommends you come out, watch and get the feel of things before jumping into the bidding.

If slower-paced shopping is more your speed, you can come out during business hours the rest of the week to see what’s left and make an offer in a non-auction setting.

A $200 deposit gets you a bidding number – cash and credit are accepted – this deposit is refundable if you don’t buy and is applied to your purchase if you do. And you can come by and complete your purchase by the next day.

Heartland Auto attracts a lot of consigners – there are trade-ins from new car dealerships as well as vehicles from wholesale dealers, finance companies and charitable organizations.

On Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m., Heartland Auto is having a Specialty Vehicle Auction. Prominently featured will be boats, bikes, RV’s, trailers, and special interest and custom cars. This is a party sale – there will be free hot dogs, giveaways, and an all-around fun atmosphere.

For this event, Heartland Auto is looking for consignments. If you have a bike or boat to sell in time for spring, this is your opportunity. There are no registration fees. Now is the time to plan. Call early to get your spot.

If you’re interested in buying or selling a car or vehicle of any kind and appreciate saving money and friendly customer service, Heartland Auto may be just the place for you. Heartland Auto Auction is open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Tuesdays, the festivities usually last until around 9 p.m.
