Celebrate Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday with Tulsa City-County Library and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in January. Beginning Monday, Jan. 12, TCCL locations across Tulsa County will offer free Dolly Parton’s Birthday Storytimes that will feature songs, stories, crafts and party favors.
These special storytimes will culminate in Dolly Parton’s Birthday Bash on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 1-5 p.m. at Gathering Place, 2650 S. John Williams Way, in the Williams Lodge. This all-ages birthday celebration will have live music from Sugar Free Allstars, special storytimes, face painting, birthday cake and more!
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Tulsa City-County Library was launched in 2023 to inspire a love of reading and learning in children. Children enrolled in the Imagination Library receive a free, age-appropriate book every month until their fifth birthday. To learn more and enroll, visit www.tulsalibrary.org/imagination-library.
The Imagination Library of Tulsa City-County Library is paid for through a partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness and private funding through the Birth through Eight Strategy for Tulsa, an initiative of George Kaiser Family Foundation.
