Vice President David Stover and Director of Operations Penny Carnino are excited about recent expansions that increased Grigsby’s carpet showroom and added space for their fast-growing commercial department. The entire store is now under one roof.
Grigsby’s Carpet & Tile completed a major expansion project last fall that put the entire store under one roof. “With the expansion,” said Director of Operations Penny Carnino, “we have created an office and showroom area for our fast-growing commercial department and effectively enlarged our previous carpet showroom space with many styles and patterns installed on the showroom floor. Our company’s mission has always been to deliver excellent service to our customers by providing them with helpful information and the best selections in the Tulsa area at competitive prices.” The store is constantly updating and changing product selections to stay on top of current market trends.
When you visit Grigsby’s, you’ll find lots of patterns, styles and colors in stock in every department – carpet, area rugs, tile, hardwood, and vinyl coverings. Carnino says that LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) engineered wood has really gained popularity over the past several years due to manufacturing techniques and the resulting superior products. Some of the benefits of an Luxury Vinyl Tile/Plank are that they are great coverings in a “wet” area like the kitchen, they tend to be less expensive than real wood, and they are much more family-friendly, especially if you have kids or pets in the house. “They won’t scratch like real wood products,” said Carnino.
Although carpet remains the most popular floor covering choice, Grigsby’s has lots of other products to choose from. Their goal is to provide you with a host of quality products that will beautify your home and meet your particular performance and budget needs. It seems that today’s products are much easier to care for, plus they stand the test of time. The Grigsby’s sales staff prides itself in being good listeners and committed partners as they provide sound advice for helping you complete your home improvement project with an end result that will exceed expectations.
“Ceramic wood patterns are huge now,” said Carnino. “They can be used in outdoor rooms, patios, kitchens, bathrooms, and showers.” Many of these products have an old, weathered barn look and are available in a multitude of colors and patterns. They really do look like wood, not tile. Stone is still a popular product as well, especially travertine patterns.
Leslie Pennington, Grigsby’s rug consultant, says the 2014 market featured lots of neutral colors and designs that are more transitional rather than traditional. Moroccan patterns are also popular.
The Grigsby’s commercial department has a rubber flooring product on display for industrial areas such as workout rooms, utility rooms and garages. “When it gets dirty, just wash or hose it off,” says Carnino. This product comes in a host of beautiful, bright colors.
Visit the expanded Grigsby’s store and check out all the new products and patterns. You may also want to visit online and download “Your Room” to see how a particular selection will look in your home with your furnishings. It’s a nice visualization tool to help you make your home improvement selections.
