It’s heartwarming to hear stories of how locals reached out to help others during recent snowstorms. Many businesses and service organizations simply could not reach those in need of their services, so Suburban Chevrolet of Claremore stepped up by lending four-wheel drive vehicles to some of these organizations. Suburban Chevrolet General Manager Tim Kirk says, “Customers have been very loyal to us. We will always do our best to reach out and give back to those who have made us so successful.”

It comes as no surprise that Suburban Chevrolet recently received an achievement award from the home offices of General Motors. Each Oklahoma Chevy dealership is challenged with an annual sales achievement plan. Suburban Chevrolet was recognized for their outstanding achievement in 2010 by attaining the highest percentage over their expected plan in new car sales. They led all Chevrolet dealers in Oklahoma with their over-the-top achievement. Congratulations Suburban!

Suburban Chevrolet has a long-time relationship with race fans as supporters of Tulsa’s Expo Raceway and Chili Bowl. Suburban provided both the Pace Car and Pace Truck for the recent Chili Bowl. The Pace Car was a high-performance Chevrolet Camaro decked out to commemorate the 25th (silver) anniversary of the Chili Bowl and to recognize Tulsa’s nationally known racing legend, Emmett Hahn, organizer of the event. The silver Camaro Pace Car was introduced to Emmet and fans at ceremonies the first night of Chili Bowl racing. Hahn was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2007.

You may not be aware of Suburban Chevrolet’s ability to help you purchase the vehicle you need. “Whether you’re looking for a pre-owned or new model, you’ll like our great deals and broad inventory of new and pre-owned models,” says Tim. Suburban has a program they call “Wholesale to the Public.” Instead of sending pre-owned trade-ins to the auto auction, vehicles passing Suburban’s vigorous inspection are offered to the public at great savings. “It’s just one more way we can provide a service to our community,” adds Tim.

If you have credit issues for whatever reason, Suburban has been highly successful in helping customers get needed credit to finance a new or pre-owned vehicle. “Although many have been struck hard by the economy,” says Tim, “lending institutions have come back with some very aggressive lending campaigns to help you get a car.” If you are a first-time buyer and have not established credit, he says they should be able to help you get financing.

Mr. Kirk encourages you to come in and see the new 2011 Chevrolet Cruz. This stylish compact from GM is a four-door sedan available in a variety of trim options. Fuel-efficient Cruz models offer two different four-cylinder engine options, one of which is turbocharged. It has lots of options in a compact package, including six-speed automatic or manual transmission, traction control, anti-skid system, airbags, leather upholstery, heated front seats, remote engine start, more room than you’d expect from a compact, and much, much more.

You’ll also want to check out the 2011 Equinox, a good-looking crossover with really cool styling. The Equinox has room for five passengers and offers a 32 mile per gallon highway rating.

Whether you’re in the market for a vehicle or not, Tim invites you to stop by Suburban Chevrolet, introduce yourself, and get acquainted with this community-based business.
