The District on Main in Claremore’s Girls Night Out is back again in a big way.  On Thursday, November 17, Owner Cari Bohannan and her staff will reopen the store after hours at their new location on Will Rogers Blvd.

“We’ve done a Girls Night Out quarterly since we’ve opened,” said Cari. “But this one will mark moving to our new location and our four year anniversary, which is on November 20. So it’s gonna be a big one.”

The free event is open to the public from 6-9 p.m. Guests can expect giveaways throughout the night with special gifts for the first 50 people. Many reps of the brands carried in store from Brighton  to Made in Oklahoma will be spread throughout. Summerside Winery will also be offering free tastes with glasses and bottles of wine available for purchase.

“Anybody that fills out a wishlist will also be entered for a drawing,” says Cari. “We’ve added some things with the move, so this will be a great time to get ideas for holiday gifts.”

New additions to The District on Main include Dear John jeans and Kate Spade stationery as well as an expansion on Frye boots, handbags and Made in Oklahoma products.

“We have a whole display of Made in Oklahoma, from candles to bath bombs, soaps and jewelry and the traditional t-shirts that our customers love,” said Cari.

The District on Main’s new location has been under renovation since March when Cari purchased the building across the street, wanting to make the space her own.

“It was great, it was like getting to start from scratch,” she said. “My favorite part about the new store has to be the brick wall,” she said. “It is definitely the main focal point. This building was built in 1909 and this wall was the end of the block prior to this building being built. So everything was covered up in plaster for all those years and we wanted to bring it back out. The main response we’ve gotten has been that the products we offer fit better here, everybody loves it.”

Start getting your shopping list ready. The District on Main will open early on Black Friday with plenty of holiday sales.
