College students take a break from classes to enjoy the food in the friendly atmosphere at Wings to Go in Claremore.

It’s March Madness time and there’s no better place to celebrate than at Claremore’s newest eatery, Wings to Go.  Hungry basketball fans can enjoy the games on one of five flat screen TVs while munching on authentic “buffalo-style” wings.

To make it even more exciting, business partners Kip Kabler and Todd Williams are planning some big giveaways during the tournament. “We plan to give away something big at the end of the bracket,” says Kabler.

Their partnership began last year when the two started investigating the popular specialty franchise. “We had eaten at a couple of Wings to Go and liked the food and the atmosphere,” says Kabler. “We also kept hearing that Claremore needed more restaurants.”

From the time the two sports fanatics decided to open their own restaurant until the day they opened in the Marketplace on October 17, 2007, Kabler and Williams have been pleased with their reception in Claremore. “We have nothing but compliments about our food,” says Kabler.

Business partners, Todd Williams and Kip Kabler, are excited about March Madness and their new restaurant, Wings to Go, located in the Marketplace in Claremore, on Hwy. 66 south.

“We try to serve a consistently good product,” he adds. “We want everyone to leave happy.”

Williams points out the pride they take in serving quality food. “We never use frozen chicken. It is always prepared fresh at least one to two days after packaging,” he says. “We want to make sure our product is the best it can be and build a solid name for ourselves.”

The partners also want to be a part of the community and have already taken an active role by sponsoring activities and fundraisers for Claremore High School and Rogers State University. The December ice storm also saw the entrepreneurs giving away 200 wings to the Claremore City Electric crews who were out restoring power to residents and businesses.

Not only will Claremore area residents find great food at Wings to Go, the specials offered each week will keep you coming back for more. Food specials include 39-cent wings on Mondays, along with $1 draft beer; kids eat free with adult paid meal on Tuesdays; 79-cent drafts on Wednesdays and one-half price kick-offs (appetizers) are available on Fridays. There are additional specials offered each week and they are now serving Texas-style spare ribs on the regular menu.

Along with food specials, the sports-themed atmosphere is a great place to enjoy any game throughout the different seasons. “We have a relaxed, fun place where the crew is always laughing and joking,” says Kabler. “You can come in for a quick meal or stay here for three hours and watch the games.”

Kabler, an avid OSU fan, and Williams, who roots for OU, don’t let their team preferences interfere with their common goal. “We want to become the first place people in Claremore think of when they eat out, not just an afterthought,” Kabler adds.

With “wings to go” or dining in, the public can expect simply great wings and other menu items to satisfy their appetites during March Madness or any time of the year. Check out their menu at www.wingstogoclaremore.com or visit them at 2002 S. Hwy. 66.
