Dr. Tracy Standridge uses the DRX9000 to treat chronic neck and back pain through spinal disc decompression therapy.

Twenty years ago, Tracy L. Standridge, D.C., opened the doors to Standridge Clinic and Structural Rehab in Owasso. On the cutting edge of his profession, Dr. Standridge provides the latest procedures to assist his patients in reaching their optimal health. He and his team of professionals treat chronic and severe pain through spinal disc decompression therapy, a proven technology for restoring deteriorative, bulging or herniated discs in the neck and lower back.

Jerry Block, M.D., joined the clinic earlier this year and provides supervision of cases. He is a board-certified medical internist and former faculty member of the medical schools at UCLA and the University of Missouri. “We’re thrilled to have Dr. Block as part of the team,” said Dr. Standridge. “We are now able to provide the total package in treating neck and back pain: spinal disc decompression therapy in conjunction with rehab and strengthening of involved muscles, chiropractic care, and medical oversight for prescriptive needs.”

Dr. Standridge has been performing disc decompression procedures for two years. “Spinal disc decompression therapy is an excellent solution for anyone who suffers from chronic neck or back pain. It is especially beneficial for those who have experienced whiplash and car accidents,” he said.

One of the most innovative pieces of equipment Dr. Standridge utilizes is the DRX9000, which offers a painless, drug-free, non-surgical treatment. “The DRX9000 Spinal Decompression Unit is the industry leader in the treatment of severe or chronic low back and neck pain. Its breakthrough technology provides relief by gently reducing the pressure within spinal discs, without surgery or other invasive procedures.”

Most patients report a reduction in pain after the first few sessions on the DRX9000. Typically, significant improvement is obtained by the second week of treatment. “Rehab strengthening and core stability work must accompany the therapy; without it, likelihood of failure is greater,” added Dr. Standridge. “In addition, Dr. Block is available if any other physiological needs arise.”

Standridge Clinic also offers the Power Plate, a form of advanced vibration technology that provides a host of benefits, including improved muscle strength and flexibility, increased range of motion and bone density, stimulated blood circulation, and reduction in muscle pain and soreness. “Power Plate’s Advance Vibration Technology is the most innovative health and fitness tool in the industry today. Backed by over 40 years of scientific research, vibration training enables users to achieve a higher level of fitness and ultimately enhance one’s quality of life,” said Dr. Standridge.

Dr. Standridge is an active member of the Owasso community. He participates in outreaches at community events and schools to educate on the importance of spinal health. He is a member of several organizations, including the Joint Chiropractic Association of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State Chiropractic Independent Physicians Association. Dr. Standridge was drawn to chiropractic care because it involves returning a person’s health conservatively, without putting anything in or taking anything out of the body.
