Is a “double chin” bringing you down? This common condition affects people of all ages and sizes, even those who are otherwise in excellent shape. Excess fat under the chin and in the upper area of the neck can often be difficult to eliminate through diet and exercise, leaving many individuals feeling frustrated and self-conscious. Traditionally, the only cosmetic procedure to treat this annoying problem has been facial liposuction. Now, two new treatments are available that are changing the double chin game forever. “We are excited to offer a new FDA approved injection called KYBELLA™ at BA Med Spa & Weight Loss Center,” said Melody Spacek. “In addition, CoolSculpting technology now provides a mini handpiece to treat submental fullness, as well as excess fat known as ‘bra bulge.’”
KYBELLA™ is the first injectable treatment approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to specifically address excess fat under the chin, or submental fullness. KYBELLA contains a molecule called deoxycholic acid, which occurs naturally in the human body. Deoxycholic acid essentially destroys fat cells, and KYBELLA utilizes the molecule to do just that in targeted areas of the chin. Once the excess fat cells have broken down, they will be gradually filtered from the body through natural metabolic processes. Absolutely no surgery or extended recovery times are involved. The in-office procedure is usually completed in about 15 to 20 minutes. “With KYBELLA you will begin to see results immediately. For best results, two to four treatments are required and can each be done 30 days apart,” adds Melody.
For those who are weary of injectables, another option is offered at BA Med Spa. The #1 non-invasive fat reduction treatment available, CoolSculpting, can now be treated under the chin and near the arms where many ladies get “bra bulge.” Unlike most other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting involves no needles, no anesthesia, no surgery and no downtime. Developed by Harvard scientists, this procedure uses a targeted cooling process that kills the fat cells underneath the skin, literally freezing them to the point of elimination. Only fat cells are frozen – your healthy cells remain healthy. Once crystallized, the fat cells die and are naturally eliminated from your body. CoolSculpting is safe, FDA-cleared and effective. “Patients can expect to see results in just one to two visits,” says Melody.
If you want to get rid of that double chin on the double, call BA Med Spa & Weight Loss Center today to inquire about KYBELLA and CoolSculpting treatment options.
