General Sales Manager Kevin McPhail is pleased with the steady growth at Momentum Toyota of Tulsa. “Business is good,” says McPhail, “and we’ve recently employed new specialists in our service department to enable us to better serve our valued customers when they bring their vehicles in for manufacturer recommended services.”

When a team member of Momentum Toyota’s service department promptly greets you on the drive, you may notice the absence of the familiar clipboard. Momentum has replaced all clipboards with state-of-the-art iPads, enabling service advisors to quickly reference your vehicle’s history and present you with the services that are currently recommended to keep your car operating safely and efficiently. “The new iPads enable us to provide the highest, most consistent level of service available,” says McPhail.

Upon arrival at Momentum’s service department, you’ll be advised of any recommended manufacturer services for your vehicle based on its age, mileage and previous service schedule. You will be given facts that enable you to make an educated decision based on your vehicle’s needs and on your budget. “We basically give customers a choice of ‘good, better, or best’ service recommendations and let them make the choice,” said McPhail.

Service Director Brett Christian says the addition of an assistant service manager has helped provide better coverage and overall customer care. The dealership also promotes the Toyota Care Package, a free basic maintenance program that covers new vehicles for two years or 25,000 miles. “The program covers oil changes, tire rotations, recommended 15,000 mile services, and free Road Service, a road-side assistance package,” says Christian.

Every time you visit the Momentum Toyota service department, your vehicle will receive a free multi-point inspection to keep you appraised of any worn parts or accessories needing attention and will point out recommended future services to help you maintain the health and condition of your vehicle. “Just about anything your vehicle needs, you can get at Momentum,” says Christian. “We also stock all major tire brands and models that were the original equipment recommended for your vehicle.”

Momentum Toyota of Tulsa is proud to participate in the Oklahoma State University Toyota Technician Training & Education Network (T-TEN). The program was founded by Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. and is a partnership for automotive education with Toyota dealerships, leading education institutions in the United States, and selected students. Students selected by Momentum attend OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee for two years while being mentored by one of Momentum’s master technicians. The program is designed to enhance the technical and professional competency of incoming Toyota and Scion technicians. It includes classroom and laboratory sessions on up-to-date Toyota and Scion vehicles and components, as well as work experience at Momentum Toyota of Tulsa. “In essence,” says Christian, “we are growing our own qualified service technicians.” Momentum keeps one first-year and one second-year student in the program year-round. “OSUIT T-TEN is one of the top rated programs in the country,” says Christian. Upon completing the two year program, students graduate with an associate’s degree in applied science.
