About AVB Bank

AVB was founded in 1905, two years before statehood. Arkansas Valley National Bank was the original name, named for the fertile valley of the Arkansas River that surrounded it. Threaded through the history of Broken Arrow, AVB has been a survivor, hunkering down during the hard times, while celebrating our successes along the way.

Through the continued leadership and involvement of the Brown-Kimbrough family, we’ve based our success on trust, stability, good old-fashioned hard work, and personal service to our valued customers.

Great bank with great people. AVB is always so helpful to me for my business and personal accounts. Their communication, flexibility, and understanding of my needs is a great example of how this local bank has many advantages over the national banks. I highly recommend them! Eric Kehmeier, Integrated Business Technologies

We cannot say enough good about the way that the team at AVB recently handled helping us through the Payment Protection Program! Thanks to their swift work to get everything turned in on our behalf, we have been able to keep everyone employed! We are fairly new customers at AVB so it was definitely not that they were pushing us through because we at Alpha Machine are one of their biggest or longest accounts!!! ... We are extremely grateful especially after reading some of the horror stories that have happened to other small businesses. Lou Ann Amstutz, Alpha Machining

Gary King and AVB did an outstanding job getting our PPP loan submitted and approved with the SBA. During these uncertain times its invaluable to have a trusting relationship with your banker. Thanks to Gary and AVB on behalf of Nelson Nissan! Craig Grotts, Nelson Nissan

AVB was founded in 1905 by investor and land owner, G.A. Brown...two years before Oklahoma statehood! The Bank's original 1905 location, at the corner of Main and Dallas in downtown Broken Arrow, is now the corporate headquarters and one of AVB's four branches. Through the continued leadership and involvement of the Brown-Kimbrough family (now in its fourth generation of active management), the contributions of former presidents K.M. Rowe and Virginia Johnson, and the current management team led by Chairman Kelley Kimbrough-Rash, AVB has grown to over $260M in assets.

AVB takes its role in the community very seriously. Community service has been a part of their culture for over 100 years. They donate tens of thousands of dollars each year to several local charitable organizations and this year our employees contributed numerous hours of volunteer time serving in various capacities with a variety of organizations in Broken Arrow and Tulsa. Economic Development, Education and the Arts are three of the main focuses of their charitable giving.

With a strong commitment to community service, sound lending practices, and providing quality products and services, AVB continues to grow and is looking forward to the next century of being the community bank of choice in Broken Arrow and Tulsa.
