Dr. Brent Hinkle and Dr. Tobey Crow recently joined the staff of the Family & Senior Health Center at Claremore Regional Hospital.

The Family & Senior Health Center recently welcomed two new physicians to the clinic in July. Tobey Crow, D.O., and Brent Hinkle, D.O., have a new place to hang their stethoscopes. Longtime Claremore physician Dr. William Durick, along with his partners, Dr. Greg DiSalvatore and Dr. Seth Nodine, are thrilled to have Dr. Crow and Dr. Hinkle join their practice.

“Dr. Crow and Dr. Hinkle are a great addition to our busy clinic,” said Dr. Durick. “Now, patients can call our clinic and get a same-day appointment, which for many is important.”

Both Dr. Crow and Dr. Hinkle were classmates in medical school at the OSU Osteopathic School of Medicine, and were co-chief residents there as well. They were partners in school and are now looking forward to long careers as physicians in the Claremore area. Both physicians are board certified in family practice medicine.

Dr. Crow grew up in the Tulsa area and graduated from Charles Page High School in Sands Springs. He completed his undergrad studies in biology at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dr. Crow and his wife, Marcie, reside in Tulsa, where they are raising their three children. “Family practice medicine intrigues me because I enjoy the diversity of treating patients of all ages,” Dr. Crow stated.

Dr. Hinkle grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school in his hometown, Dr. Hinkle attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Hinkle always excelled in school and was listed on the president’s and dean’s honor rolls throughout his college years. His keen interests in science studies led him to imagine a career in medicine. He and Dr. Crow met in school and quickly found they worked extremely well together as co-chief residents over the past year. Dr. Hinkle and his wife Crystal, along with their two-year-old, recently welcomed twins to their home. “I enjoy family practice medicine because it allows me the opportunity to care for the whole family,” Dr. Hinkle said.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Crow and Dr. Hinkle join our quality medical staff at Claremore Regional Hospital,” said Brandon Mudd, executive director of the Northeast Oklahoma Medical Group. Mudd and his team have been extremely busy this year recruiting new healthcare providers to the Claremore area. In addition to Dr. Crow and Dr. Hinkle coming to the Claremore area, Mudd also recruited nurse practitioner Steve Evans, NRP, who joined the Claremore Primary Care clinic.

“We are actively searching to recruit internal medicine physicians, another cardiologist to join the Heart and Vascular Center, and a pediatrician,” Mudd stated.

Family & Senior Health Center has been in the Claremore community for many years and with the addition of two new young physicians, the clinic anticipates staying here and caring for folks for many years to come.
