Derrick Lockwood, new owner of Bath 911, took the helm of the four-year-old, Bixby-based business in January 2008.

In January of 2008, Derrick Lockwood became the new owner of BATH 911, a kitchen and bathroom remodeling service based in Bixby and serving the Tulsa metropolitan area for the past four years.  The business specializes in providing simple, effective remodeling solutions for bathrooms and kitchens.  They can suggest ways to transform a bath or kitchen area that has outdated fixtures (and is perhaps just plain ugly) to an attractive, updated room.

Lockwood grew up in Bixby, is a Bixby fireman, and currently resides there with his wife and two children.  Lockwood has been in the remodeling business for eight years, during which he has also been an employee of BATH 911.

According to Lockwood, “An Acrylic Bath System is the foundation of our bathroom remodels.”  The system is used to give tubs, bath walls, showers, and shower bases an affordable upgrade that is durable and virtually mold and mildew resistant.  In addition to the standard bath and shower products, BATH 911 also carries an easy-to-access, walk-in tub product, a favorite of the elderly and those who find it difficult to step over the edge of a traditional tub.  This tub also has a seat formed into it that makes getting up and exiting much easier.  Acrylic tub inserts or new acrylic tubs and shower products are low maintenance.  The acrylic materials are not porous, and seams utilize a sealant containing Mildewacide, an additive that the manufacturer says can prevent the growth of mold and mildew.

Lockwood adds, “The acrylic products we utilize in our remodels carry a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on parts and labor, and they are very easy to keep clean.  In addition, acrylic surfaces are very durable – they will not chip, crack or peel, and they are completely colorfast.”  Acrylic surfaces are warmer to the touch than are older-styled metal tubs, and acrylic has an attractive high-gloss finish, with no grout lines to keep clean.

BATH 911 can remove old, worn bathroom or kitchen cabinets and replace them with new custom-built cabinets.  Cabinets are offered in a variety of popular woods and can be stained or painted to your liking.  A typical tub insert installation takes only one day from start to finish.

Other products available in the BATH 911 arsenal of bath and kitchen remodels include granite or cultured marble counter tops, hardwood floors, and ceramic tile floors.  Cabinet tops are available in many colors, patterns, and edge styles.  Ceramic backsplashes and floors are also a specialty of the business.

If your bathroom or kitchen is screaming for a facelift, BATH 911 will consult with you and give you a detailed product and labor estimate, plus some good ideas to consider before you begin the transformation.
