Service Manager Cliff Koger says, “One thing that really makes our department outstanding is the experience of our service advisors and maintenance technicians.” Joe Marina’s Jim Martinez has 25 years of experience, followed by Michael Yarber, who has been servicing automobiles for 14 years. Lou Tipton has 12 years of experience, and Alan Statum has one year. “These guys are truly at the top of the service advisor field,” adds Koger. Maintenance technicians are all certified by Honda and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Three technicians are also on hand in the Express Service Department, rounding out the service team.

Joe Marina Honda makes sure its customers leave the service department clearly understanding all the services that were performed on their vehicles. “This is a primary focus for our frontline staff,” Koger says. “They make sure that each job is thoroughly explained to the customer and that he or she leaves with no question unanswered.”

The department also sends out service reminders to customers. Those who tend to forget about having their vehicles serviced can keep their vehicles running in top condition. Worrying about overdue oil changes, maintenance or other services is no longer a problem. Customers trust Joe Marina Honda to provide timely service from its spotless, clean work area. After servicing vehicles, each is freshly washed before its driver picks it up. Koger proudly adds, “About 95 percent of the cars we service are out that same day.”
