Teresa’s story is pretty ­common in some respects, but in others, she was a tough case to work on. Four years ago, she started developing a bad ache in the back of her right knee. Even after the surgery, they checked on me to see if I was having any problems whatsoever. They really do care about their patients.” She had her surgery on December 31, 2010, and within three days was getting up and around with the help of a walker. Soon after, she was walking on her own and actually stunned her nurses when she walked in, unassisted, to get her stitches taken out only 14 days later. Since then, Teresa marvels at her new lifestyle. “Before surgery, my life was so confined,” says Teresa. “I couldn’t stand for more than a few minutes; I couldn’t get in and out of my car easily and ­certainly not without pain. My entire life revolved around my knee pain.”

Now, she is thrilled with her new mobility. Teresa and her husband own their own ­business, Son Set Consultants, where she is able to work from home. Before, she couldn’t get outside to visit customers; now there is no stopping her. “I can get out and do anything,” Teresa explains. “I feel like Dr. LaButti gave me my life back.”
