Providing a quality learning environment for your children while you are at work is the goal of many facilities. However, as many parents have found out, facilities that are actually able to come through on this promise are few and far between. Luckily, Owasso residents don’t have to look far to find such a place! Cross Timbers School, a private preschool, kindergarten and first grade facility, located at 13620 E. 103rd St. N., prides itself on meeting and exceeding the highest standards of educational excellence.
“We are very different from other places in the area,” says Julie Klinetobe, program director for Cross Timbers. “We provide upscale education from a Christian perspective, and focus on quality in every area. From our state-of-the-art playground area to our outstanding study material, Cross Timbers School stands out from all the rest.”
Cross Timbers School utilizes the nationally accredited A Beka Book for their curriculum. It is built on a scriptural foundation for academic excellence. The A Beka Book is recognized for many accomplishments in phonics, math, social and emotional skills, as well as character values. This curriculum helps establish good habits and routines, which have proven to build a foundation for lifelong learning. “The strength of this program is evident in its measurable successes in thousands of students over decades of use. After completing the program, many children test at a level that is a grade or a grade and a half higher than others their age,” explains Julie. “Private education is fast becoming the edge parents are seeking for their children, and Cross Timbers School truly offers academic excellence. No doubt, the best money you can spend is on your child’s education.”
This philosophy certainly rings true with the parents of children currently enrolled in Cross Timbers School. Dr. Jennifer Holloway has one child enrolled there and another child on the way, and the new arrival is already on the list to attend Cross Timbers School. “I looked at several centers both in Claremore and in Owasso,” Dr. Holloway explains. “For me, the decision was an easy one to make. Cross Timbers School stood out from the rest in many ways. The staff there was so friendly and professional when I visited. The center was extremely clean too, which was certainly different from most of the others.” Dr. Holloway said that many places left her with an uneasy feeling. Cross Timbers School was completely the opposite. “For me, the choice was a no-brainer,” laughs Dr. Holloway. “With an outstanding facility, an excellent class curriculum, and the friendliest staff anywhere, Cross Timbers School is a facility I recommend to everyone who is looking for quality education for their children.”
An addition to Cross Timbers this year is a brand new playground structure. “We recently installed Terra playground equipment at our center,” says Julie. “It has multiple levels, three slides, and a variety of climbers and crawl tunnels ready for a day of fun, and all free of UV rays. Our covered playground reduces temperatures by 12 to 15 degrees and blocks at least 93 percent of UVA and UVB radiation.” This is considered one of the best covered playgrounds in the entire Tulsa metro area, and it can be found right here in Owasso. In addition to this new large structure, the toddler area will also acquire an exciting new piece of playground equipment complete with a slide shaped like a teddy bear.
As you can see, Cross Timbers School sets itself apart by paying attention to every detail involved in your child’s daily educational experience. “We are dedicated to giving children the fun, strong educational training that is so important to succeeding in today’s environment,” Julie states. “We encourage anyone to come in for a personal tour of our school so they can see first-hand our high quality program and our outstanding facility. We think you will see quickly why we stand out from all the rest.”
Julie says that they can offer price comparisons to other schools and have plenty of take-home material for potential parents to look over. “We want to make sure they are completely educated about what makes us different so they can make a better choice.” Enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year is now open to the public, and class space is filling up fast.
