Donna Pepper, owner of the Just Between Friends franchise in Owasso, enjoys the challenge of the business and all the wonderful consignors and shoppers involved.
Thinking about making some extra money to spend during the upcoming holiday season? Feeling a little strapped for cash after all the back-to-school expenses? If so, Donna Pepper, franchise owner for Just Between Friends in Owasso, has your solution. Pepper invites anyone with outgrown children’s clothing or toys to join dozens of other consigners in selling their gently-used items at the Just Between Friends October sale.
Before starting her franchise, Pepper participated in Just Between Friends by consigning. “I was floored when I got my check,” she says. “I couldn’t believe how much money I made.” Consigning your children’s unused clothing and toys for any Just Between Friends sale is a hassle-free way to earn extra money. A perfect way to free up some closet space, getting involved with Just Between Friends is simple and organized. After registering online, consignors set the price of their own items. A few simple guidelines are then followed to tag and prepare items for the sale. The day before the event, consignors drop off their merchandise to be sold at a designated location.
Consigning is not the only way to benefit from Just Between Friends. Purchasing children’s items is also advantageous, as shoppers will find thousands of high-quality, brand-name items. Just Between Friends’ Owasso franchise hosts sales twice a year. This year’s fall event, which is scheduled to begin Wednesday, October 3, will feature seasonal clothing for infants, as well as girls’ clothing up to size 14 and boys’ clothing up to size 16. A variety of winter coats, Halloween costumes, pajamas and more will also be available. The inventory extends beyond clothing to include children’s bicycles, video games, movies, books and many other toys.
Offering more than just children’s clothing and toys, the Just Between Friends also offers items for moms-to-be. Expecting moms will find a large selection of brand-name maternity clothing. Seasonal items from Gap, Old Navy, Liz Lange and A Pea in the Pod are among the large selection offered.
A wide variety of children’s toys and clothes are available at each Just Between Friends sale.
Just Between Friends’ baby items can help new parents in welcoming their new additions. Everything a baby needs will be for sale. Nursery decorations, baby bedding, cribs, high chairs, exersaucers, as well as strollers to suit baby boys or girls will be available for purchase.
Pepper ensures that everything sold at the Just Between Friends sales will be in excellent condition. “Everything is inspected before it is sold,” she says. Consignors are also asked to examine items as if they were the purchaser. Nothing is accepted that is faded, worn or missing pieces.
Tradition is finding its way to Just Between Friends in Owasso. Once again, the event will host a teddy bear clinic in which children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals for nurses to examine. “Ask the Doctor” with Dr. Aaron Henley, a physician from Owasso Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, will also take place. Parents will be able to talk with Dr. Henley about health issues. Both activities aim to calm children’s fears about visiting the doctor.
Unsold items at the October Just Between Friends sale will be donated to both the Laura Dester Children’s Center and Standing in the Gap. Canned goods will be accepted throughout the sale for donation to Standing in the Gap.
This Owasso Just Between Friends sale opens to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, and will continue through Saturday, October 6. The sale will take place at Owasso First Assembly of God, located at 9341 N. 129th E. Ave. in Owasso. Cash, checks, and Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards will be accepted. Although admission will be $2 on Wednesday, shoppers get in free with Value News coupons.
