Don’t Miss the Pandora Bracelet Event

“I’ve never seen a piece of jewelry create such a frenzy.”

Joel and Kendra David, owners of J. David Jewelry in Broken Arrow, are excited to be hosting the year’s second Pandora Bracelet Event.

Most of us remember that weekend in mid-March because of the weather. The sky first dumped two inches of rain on the Tulsa metro area on Friday, followed by ten inches of snow on Saturday. But even with the treacherous travel conditions, one place in Broken Arrow was a hotbed of activity. J. David Jewelry saw over 750 customers that weekend, and most every one of those customers was there for the same reason: The Pandora Bracelet Event.

There will be no snow in Broken Arrow on September 17, 18 and 19, but there will be another Pandora Bracelet Event. The Pandora Bracelet is an updated version of a charm bracelet, and its popularity has been sweeping the world for some time now, according to Joel David, owner of J. David Jewelry. “I’ve been in the jewelry business for 22 years, and I’ve never seen a piece of jewelry create such a frenzy,” Joel remarks. “It’s in every style magazine and worn by every age group.”

The Pandora Bracelet offers a woman the opportunity to build a piece of jewelry that is unique to herself and her own experience. Pieces for the bracelet start at about $15 apiece, and many women purchase pieces to commemorate an event in their lives. Over time, the bracelet can become what Joel calls “a really nice piece of jewelry you bought in stages.” He notes that the bracelet or the pieces can be great for a man to buy as a “just because” gift for his significant other, since buying jewelry is an excellent way for a man to show a woman how much he cares.

“As long as men need to communicate with women, there will be a need for jewelry, since we lack in that area,” Joel says with a laugh. “In fact, as long as there’s love in the world, there’s a need for jewelry.”

Joel believes it is this need that has kept J. David Jewelry strong even in tough economic times. “Being in Broken Arrow is such a blessing, especially with everything going on in the world. We continue to do well in spite of what the news says about the economy,” he says. “The fact that we have both jewelry and service – cleaning, sizing, watch batteries and more – keeps people coming in.”

Joel, his wife Kendra, and their staff are looking forward to the upcoming Pandora Bracelet Event and are expecting large crowds to rival the last one. “Even with the bad weather, the lines in March were 25 people deep at times,” Joel recalls. “Almost everyone who came in was very patient, but we aren’t staffed for those type of crowds so it will take time. The earlier you can come in, the better.”

So whether you want to add to an already existing Pandora Bracelet or start a new one of your own, be sure to mark your calendar for the Pandora Bracelet Event at J. David Jewelry in September – and as always, visit any time for all of your other jewelry needs. J. David Jewelry is open Monday through Friday from
