Don’t Bug Out

Do spiders scare you?

David Grady, operations manager at Mother Nature’s Pest Control, demonstrates how easy it is to use the BugHug’R Trap.

Do spiders scare you, roaches send you running, and insects irritate you? If so, you might want to give Mother Nature’s Pest Control a call. Mother Nature’s has been serving the Tulsa area for over 30 years, and they know how to get rid of bugs. In addition to regular chemical spraying and the Sentricon termite system, Mother Nature’s now offers the BugHug’R trap, a nonpoisonous alternative that actually stops bugs in their tracks. Unlike traditional glue traps, the BugHug’R is covered and clean, and you don’t have to look at the collection of bugs it attracts as it works. The pests go inside and stay inside. In fact, the pests actually attract each other into the box.

Theresa Angel, vice president of Mother Nature’s Pest Control, says that while her company uses only the safest chemicals and best-trained service staff, a small percentage of spiders and insects can still sneak past the chemical barrier. According to Angel, about 90 percent of bugs come in through the garage door, and it takes very little space to let an unwanted guest inside your home. Bugs can enter from a crack in a slab floor, through a drain, or on a water, air conditioner or gas line.

“The chemicals we use actually stick to the spider’s feet, they lick their feet to clean them, and then the chemicals begin to take effect. However, a brown recluse spider can come in and cause damage before the chemicals kick in,” explains Angel.

To address this problem, Mother Nature’s offers the BugHug’R trap. A discreet black box with a glue strip inside attracts the insects without attracting attention. About the size of a VCR tape box, the BugHug’R can be placed behind furniture, around food and on any type of flooring surface. Because they contain no poison, they are safe for use in the hot water heater closet and around clothing and dishes. The traps are nontoxic to pets and children.

The BugHug’R stops the brown recluse spider in its tracks, before it can do damage.

The BugHug’R kills spiders, roaches and insects and is not messy. It will not get caught on you or your animals’ feet, and it is long-lasting and affordable. Each trap lasts until it is full or up to a calendar year. The BugHug’R is disposable, making getting rid of those nasty pests as easy as throwing the trap in the trash.

Angel explains that to get the best coverage in a home, the BugHug’R traps should be placed under each bed, next to the headboard, in the corners of each room, and in the top and bottom of each closet. The BugHug’R traps are available at Mother Nature’s office, located at 11356 E. 51st Pl. in Tulsa. All you have to do is remove the plastic wrapper and put them in their spots to rid your home of those unwanted pests.
