It's time for the annual CREOKS Gifts of Hope holiday drive! GOH is a donation-based program whereby businesses and organizations 'adopt' a family and/or provide a gift or monetary donation. To increase engagement and awareness, CREOKS places a box at each location to collect donations. Last year CREOKS provided gifts for more than 100 of their most high-needs clients! These high-need families may be involved in the Wraparound program, Enhanced Foster Care with DHS, in the Diversion program with OJA, or involved with Tribal Welfare.

What does CREOKS do?

The CREOKS Catoosa office, is staffed with therapists who are able to provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy sessions to clients to strengthen cognitive pathways, make better decisions, and utilize coping skills. They also provide case management, behavioral rehabilitation, wellness education, medication management, crisis services, employment/housing/veteran/aging support, Wraparound, substance abuse services, and coordinate with the whole family as a unit.

According to Emily Oberg, children’s director at CREOKS for Rogers and Mayes Counties, their goal is to meet clients where they are and eliminate barriers pertaining to access, transportation, or communication. This includes going to the home, school, community, or utilizing telehealth. Additionally, they offer Equine Therapy, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Family Care Plan Services, Functional-Family Therapy, Federal Probation and Parole, Substance Abuse Services, and have a Problematic Sexualized Behaviors/Outside the Lines program.

Does CREOKS have group programs?

CREOKS services also include groups such as Strengthening Families, Seeking Safety, Protective Parenting, and Adult/Child Wellness. They have relationships with multiple community partners in the area including DHS, OJA, Tribal Welfare, Health Department, Primary Care, Head Start, and various School Systems including embedded staff at Catoosa and Oologah Public Schools. Emily is on the Community Accountability Board for Diversion with Rogers County Youth Services for those involved in the juvenile system.

CREOKS is proud to partner with Dollar General, Walmart, and local food banks to assist in stocking the Store Room which provides food, clothing, and household items to clients at no charge.

Referral forms for both adults and children can be submitted on the CREOKS website, where you will also find various brochures with in-depth information on their inpatient facilities, Spring Creek, in Tahlequah and Sapulpa.
