What’s your style? Brandee Barthel will help you create it.

All over the world, people view hair as an important physical feature.  Virtually every social function or special occasion includes a trip to the hairdresser, and on a day-to-day basis, people use their hair to express personality and lifestyle.  Since hair is in many cases a person’s most distinctive feature, a good stylist is essential.

Brandee Barthel, who has twelve years of experience, offers a variety of hair services.  A graduate of Broken Arrow Beauty College, Brandee has honed her training and talent to provide excellent hair care in a range of styles – from classic, chic and elegant to hip, trendy and cutting-edge.

“I love to create styles based on personality and lifestyle needs,” says Brandee.  “I consider the ‘shape of face’ standard a myth – I believe that a person’s character should be more of a determining factor in hairstyle choices.”

Cuts, color, foiling, highlighting – all of these options can change the look of an individual, from subtle to dramatic.  Customers can go retro with a glamour ‘do, dramatic by pairing streaks of warm and cool colors, edgy with a daring, distinctive cut, or easy but elegant with a lovely, simple style. Brandee offers all of these options and more to her clients. “All of my haircuts come with a full shampoo. I always tell people, ‘That’s the best part.’”

Brandee says she knew from a very young age that she wanted to do hair, and she now enjoys the great variety that makes up her work.

“One aspect of being a hairstylist is seeing the great diversity of individuals and their lifestyles,” Brandee comments.  “It’s rewarding to be able to create styles for people who are different in so many ways.”

Since salon aftercare is a critical part of maintaining healthy hair, Brandee offers tips to her clients on the best way to attend to their new cut, color or style.  She recommends a regularly scheduled trim every four to six weeks, in order for a cut and style to keep its shape.  Color, according to Brandee, can be refreshed every six to eight weeks, as shorter periods in between colorings can stress hair and cause damage.  She also recommends professional anti-fade color shampoos and conditioners for longer-lasting results. Attentive to detail, Brandee can assist all of her clients in finding an appropriate and affordable hair care regimen.

As a stylist, Brandee has cultivated enthusiasm and creativity in producing new hairstyles.  She is dedicated to her clients’ best interests and offers years of experience and an easygoing rapport to her customers.  Brandee also regularly attends seminars to remain current on the latest trends in hairstyling, haircuts, coloring and other techniques.

Brandee is located at Hair It Is in Broken Arrow, at 1169 S. Aspen.  For more information or to schedule an appointment with Brandee, call (918) 691-0812.
