Clary Sage College, branch campus of Community Care College, was invited to facilitate the hair, makeup, nails and massage services for the national hit reality show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” The highly skilled and artistically trained students, staff and faculty all worked diligently, contributing their talent at the film site located at 11th and Harvard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The deserving Tulsans who received the brand-new house are the Starkweather family, whose son suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome. This disease affects the brain, specifically in areas regulating hunger.

“It is wonderful to show off our students’ abilities as well as to show our appreciation to the workers and producers. Making one family’s dream come to a reality makes it very rewarding to all. We are thrilled to be a part of this award-winning show and honored that we can help to relax or beautify those that are working so hard for such a great cause,” said Christen Brummett, campus director for Clary Sage College.

Clary Sage assisted on the site “set” for five full days. Students and employees mostly performed services, but also had the opportunity to help with some building work, and even had the opportunity to meet some of the stars, including Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo, Paige Hennis, Eduardo Xol, and special guests Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow. The show is expected to air toward the end of March.

All of the services performed on site are also offered at the college campus at Clary Sage’s cutting-edge spa, located at 31st and Sheridan. Those who wish to book services can call (918) 298-8200 for more details or go to the spa menu at www.clarysagecollege.com.
