Dr. Kyle Hrdlicka and Dr. Lawrence Brotherton look forward to treating patients in their newly renovated offices.
Having a surgical procedure can be a highly stressful experience, even if the procedure is an outpatient one. Helping to relieve that stress is one of the reasons Dr. Kyle Hrdlicka and Dr. Lawrence Brotherton of Claremore Surgeons, Inc. are happily looking forward to treating patients in their newly renovated facility. The facility is scheduled to be complete in early March, and the public is invited to see the changes for themselves during an open house on March 24.
“We have concentrated on creating a relaxing environment that will be calming for patients,” says Dr. Brotherton. “We want our offices to feel comfortable, rather than sterile and cold.”
Many factors go into creating comfort when it comes to medical procedures, and the doctors have tried to take all of this into account. With the help of Dr. Hrdlicka’s mother, who is an interior decorator, they have incorporated larger patient rooms, a more spacious waiting area, and more privacy for checkout procedures into the design. Every detail, from paint color to waiting room furnishings, has been considered for optimum relaxation. Even the comfort of the staff has been taken into account, with a new, large nursing station and spacious file room provided. “We are happy to be able to provide new and better facilities for our staff,” says Dr. Brotherton.
Dr. Brotherton notes that people often feel they have to travel all the way to Tulsa to get quality medical care. Both he and Dr. Hrdlicka want people to know this just isn’t so, and they want the new look of their offices to reflect the true nature of the work they do. “Quite honestly, when it is finished, this will be as nice of an office as you will find anywhere,” Dr. Brotherton points out.
One thing that will remain constant through this change is the wide array of surgical procedures provided by Drs. Hrdlicka and Brotherton at Claremore Surgeons. This list includes both laparoscopic and open versions of gall bladder, inguinal hernia, ventral hernia repair, appendectomy, and splenoctomy surgeries, breast surgery, MammoSite, colon cancer and resections, skin cancer (moles, lumps and bumps), thyroid surgery, hemorrhoid surgery and Infrared Coagulation (IRC), Central Venous access, Esophgogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), PEG Placement (of feeding tubes), colonoscopy, varicose vein surgery (including minimally invasive closure techniques, Elas and Radio Frequency Closure), and vasectomy.
The office is close to the hospital so that the doctors have quick and easy access to their patients, but Dr. Hrdlicka points out that many of the procedures are minimally invasive and can be done in-office. “Vasectomies, for instance, are done in-office,” he says. “We can have the patient in and out in a couple of hours.”
Dr. Hrdlicka is also still actively involved with the Vascular & Vein Laser Center, an office committed to providing cosmetic solutions with little down time, such as Botox, Juvéderm, Pixel, laser skin tightening, and vein ablation.
