Does a trip to a luxurious condominium in Cabo San Lucas sound good right about now? How about a vacation in a spectacular home in Vail, or even a jaunt to New York City? If a trip is not on the agenda, how about a special tribute to a favorite hobby with a Fender Stratocaster personally signed by Elvis Costello? Or perhaps it could be the special surprise that would fill the bill — and warm your heart.

All these items will be at your figure tips on Saturday, April 24, when Cascia Hall Preparatory School and the Cascia Hall Parent Faculty Association (CPFA) will “Rock the Cain’s.” Going off site this year to the world famous Cain’s Ballroom in downtown Tulsa, Celebrate Cascia 2010 will be an event to remember as we trace Tulsa’s evolution of rock and roll.

The Cascia Rocks the Cain’s dinner gala will reach out into the community this year, offering everyone, young and old, an opportunity to experience an eight-decade musical journey. The evening will feature the history of Cascia Hall, as well as Tulsa’s historical impact on rock and roll. Two of Tulsa’s musical sensations will be the evening’s highlights, Admiral Twin and Crossland, with a concert Cain’s-style.

Take a sneak peak at sundaytown.com/media/cascia/cains/cains_short/ and watch how the night promises to take us through the ages of Tulsa’s history and rock and roll times gone by. Admiral Twin, a long-time Tulsa favorite, will perform pieces from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Our other band, Crossland, has a stronghold on the current Tulsa music scene due to their unique and fun stage antics during performances.

None other than Brian Pruitt of Blue Dome Diner has put together a great menu for the event at Cain’s Ballroom. Located outside in a specially orchestrated courtyard will be fine cordials and humidified cigars from the famous Café Cabana collection.

Everyone is invited to participate as a sponsor. The different sponsorship levels include: the VIP at $10,000; the Groupie at $5,000; the Raving Fan at $2,500; the Rocker at $1,500; and the Roadie at $500. Patrons will be invited to a private VIP Backstage Pre-Party the night of the event from 6 to 7 p.m., as well as the Patron Party on April 15. All responses must be in by April 1 in order to be included in the publicity for the event.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight with live vintage music, fabulous food and the enticing live and silent auctions. Free trolley transportation will be provided from the Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center to and from the Cain’s Ballroom. There will be secure parking at the Cain’s Ballroom’s new parking lot. Ticket prices are $75 each and $50 each for Cascia Hall alumni from 1996 to 2006.

The Celebrate Cascia 2010 is a celebration of the Augustinian education offered by Cascia Hall Preparatory School. Proceeds from the event will be applied to the school’s financial aid program and the numerous projects enhancing the educational environment.
