Cascia Hall Preparatory School and the Cascia Hall Parent Faculty Association (CPFA) will once again join the school and community in kicking off the Christmas season by presenting a tour of beautifully decorated midtown area homes. The 2008 Cascia Christmas Walk will take place Sunday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Four of Tulsa’s renowned floral decorators will each design a home for the holidays, in addition to decorating the new Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center, also on the tour.

Homes on the tour this year include 3161 S. Rockford Dr., designed by Petal Pushers, 4409 S. Lewis Pl., designed by Mary Murray’s Flowers, 4354 S. Victor, designed by Stephanie Miller and Toni’s Flowers & Gifts, and 1629 E. 37th St., designed by Tulips on Broadway. Transportation will be provided free of charge from Cascia Hall, located at 2520 S. Yorktown Ave., to all of the homes on the tour.

The homes will feature beautiful Christmas floral designs and decorations arranged specifically for that particular home in mind. Also, each of the homes will feature the musical talent of Cascia Hall students performing Christmas carols during the tour. The Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center will be decorated in full holiday splendor too, and is where hot beverages will be served as visitors listen to carols performed by the Cascia Hall Bell Choir and Singing Choir.

The Cascia Hall gymnasium will transform into the Christmas Gift Boutique, where over 60 vendors will offer holiday items such as unique gift baskets, poinsettias and wreaths, and hundreds of holiday gift ideas. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Rick Kamp will cater a delicious lunch at Cascia Café, where the famous Christmas Kringles and Cascia cookbooks will also be available for purchasing.

“The Cascia Christmas Walk is a great opportunity to get into the holiday spirit with your family and friends,” says Father Bernie Scianna, headmaster of Cascia Hall. “You can see beautifully decorated homes, enjoy Christmas music and purchase unique gifts while raising funds for Cascia Hall’s financial aid program and other school projects.”

Tickets to the Cascia Christmas Walk are $10 and are available for purchase at Cascia Hall or at any of the homes on the tour before the event. Tickets are not required to attend the Cascia Christmas Boutique or other festivities at the Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center.

The Cascia Christmas Walk is a celebration of Christmas that benefits the Augustinian education offered by Cascia Hall Preparatory School. It is presented by the CPFA, with proceeds from the tour applied to the school’s financial aid program and the numerous projects enhancing the educational environment. Cascia Hall offers a college preparatory program that emphasizes educating the whole person – spiritually, physically, emotionally, psychologically and intellectually.

Don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to benefit the school and see gorgeously decorated seasonal homes on December 7.

Event sponsors include Tapestry of Faith, Scott Wallick Construction, C. Rieger Wood III, DDS, Stillwater National Bank, Gates, Winden & Associates, P.C., Chris Phillips Design, and Alliance Resource Partners, L.P.
