AVSB’s Stone Wood Hills branch

Founded in Broken Arrow in 1905, Arkansas Valley State Bank is a fourth-generation, family-owned bank. With the recent opening of its new Stone Wood Hills branch, AVSB celebrated the addition of its fourth location. The temporary office will provide full banking services while the permanent, 10,000-square-foot building is being built. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2008.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of the Stone Wood Hills branch,” states Terry Almon, AVSB president and CEO. “We believe this location will provide additional convenience for existing customers, as well as a tremendous opportunity to serve both commercial and consumer customers located in this general area or who frequently pass by the area.”

To celebrate the opening of AVSB’s fourth branch, an ice cream social was held at the new location. Local businesses and residents attended the event on June 26 and enjoyed the ice cream donated by Blue Bell Creameries. LaTaunya Williams, AVSB marketing director, noted the outstanding turnout of the event and thanks everyone for their support of the new branch.

AVSB is also proud to announce the addition of Charlie Martin to its lending team. Martin will serve as senior vice president and commercial lender at the new Stone Wood Hills location. A graduate of Northeastern State University and Leadership Tulsa, Martin joins AVSB with 15 years of retail management and commercial lending experience. Martin will be joined at Stone Wood Hills by Amy Dallis, branch operations manager, Leo Bailey, mortgage loan originator, Matt Gibson, personal banker, Becky Russell, lead teller, and Kathy Pitts and Holly Sparks, tellers.

Customers can rely on experienced bankers that are committed to exceeding customer service expectations.”
