Fun for the whole family can be had at Mayfest 2008.
The 36th Annual Tulsa International Mayfest, which is scheduled for May 15 through 18, is seeking visual artists. Mayfest is nationally renowned for presenting the very best in arts and entertainment. The fun, four-day festival is free to the public and provides participating artists exposure to approximately 350,000 attendees.
Mayfest has joined with other national art shows to utilize the one-stop ZAPP system. The universal online application system allows artists to submit and manage their applications for participation in art festivals, shows and fairs. Artists are invited to apply for participation in Mayfest 2008 at www.zapplication.org. Zapplications can be submitted for such visual art genres as photography, pottery, watercolor, oil and more.
In addition to visual arts, Tulsa International Mayfest will include performing arts. The outdoor festival, which aims to promote a broader knowledge of and appreciation for many types of art, will have dancers, as well as musicians of many types: rock and roll, jazz, classical, pop and country.
Do not miss out on being one of the exclusive visual artists accepted for Tulsa’s biggest art festival. Approximately 100 fine artists and 20 craft artists will be chosen to participate in this highly-selective arts festival. Each art entry is judged professionally according to strict guidelines. Mayfest 2007 saw record sales for many of its participating artists, and the same is expected for the 2008 event.
Mixed media art is always a Mayfest favorite.
Call the Mayfest office at (918) 582-6435 for additional information or visit the office at 321 S. Boston Ave. in downtown Tulsa. Submit a Zapplication today and receive recognition from the thousands of spectators that will be in attendance at Mayfest 2008.
