Michelle Cobbs, owner of Nails by Michelle, invites you to the grand opening of her nail boutique, October 11-12.

Tucked away in the Three Lakes Shopping Center, you’ll find Owasso’s newest retreat for spa manicures, nail enhancements and spa pedicures. Michelle Cobbs, licensed manicurist and owner of Nails by Michelle, invites you to attend the grand opening from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12.

She’ll be providing nail fills, manicures and pedicures at discounted rates on a first-come, first-serve basis during the grand opening celebration. She’ll also be offering refreshments and giveaways, including a full set of acrylic nails.

Cobbs owned a nail salon in Alaska and recently moved to the Owasso area. With more than 21 years of experience, she decided to open a local nail salon with a focus on cleanliness and creativity.

“I love what I do,” said Cobbs. “I love to make people feel good about themselves.”

Nails by Michelle is not your ordinary nail shop, but a nail boutique with great customer service. She strives for perfection in taking care of her customers. Cobbs takes classes to stay up-to-date on new products and techniques. She offers colored, custom acrylics, pink-n-whites, solar nails and gel nails, as well as basic acrylics and tips. She does intricate nail art and can inlay shells, flowers and rhinestones and apply custom art for one-of-a-kind nails.

“I give you a manicure with every fill. I exfoliate and moisturize your cuticles to keep your natural nails healthy,” said Cobbs.

All nail shops are not created equal. “Cosmetic fingernails made with MMA, methyl methacrylate, can result in damage to the nail plate,” said Cobbs. How can a customer recognize MMA? “The artificial nails made with MMA are difficult or impossible to remove with acetone. Since they often require electric drills for removal, the chance of filing into the natural nail is great,” said Cobbs.

Nail biters, take notice. If you like the look of long, polished nails, Michelle can help you kick the habit of nail-biting. You’ll start with tips and grow out your natural nails over time. After your nails have grown, tips will be soaked off with acetone and your natural nails will stay beautiful and protected with a sculpted, non-MMA acrylic overlay.

If you don’t want artificial nail enhancements, Nails by Michelle offers spa manicures. You’ll receive more than 45 minutes of nail treatment with hand massage, hot towels and restoring hot oils. This also comes with polish removal and nail lacquer application from the Fingerpaints collection of more than 60 colors from OPI, China Glaze and Creative Nails. With this selection, you’re sure to find an old favorite or a new color for fall.

If you like relaxing with a spa pedicure, you’re in for a real treat. The spa pedicure is more than 60 minutes of nail care with foot massage, exfoliating foot and leg rub, hot towels, reflexology and more. This comes complete with polish removal and nail lacquer application while you relax in a European spa pedicure massage chair with whirlpool bath. “My pedicure chairs are 99 percent bacteria free,” said Cobbs. “Jet-free stations result in the most sanitary pedicures.”

Nails by Michelle provides complete nail care for families. Guys need manicures and pedicures, too, and Cobbs is happy to take care of their nail grooming needs. She offers special pricing for mommy-and-me manicures and pedicures, and welcomes wedding parties and girls-day-out gatherings for a day (or evening) of pampering and relaxation.

It’s not too late to make plans for the holidays. Cobbs offers gift certificates for her salon’s services, as well as a customer loyalty program and Club Card. Buy the Club Card and receive five manicures for the price of four, or five fills for the price of four. Club Cards for pedicures are also available.

Nails by Michelle is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Make plans to stop by during the grand opening celebration to meet Michelle and experience Owasso’s newest nail boutique.
