Destination Claremore presents a “Taste of Claremore” May 3 at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Destination Claremore is a celebration of the town’s history, present, and future, and the Taste is a great way to showcase Claremore’s favorite local eateries, wineries and caterers.

The Taste of Claremore will be Thursday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Claremore Convention & Visitors Bureau (inside the Claremore Expo Center), Claremore Chamber of Commerce, The Nut House on Route 66, Walke Brothers Meats, and the gift shop at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. They are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under if purchased in advance; $12 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under at the door.

Local restaurants, caterers and wineries will be showcasing their signature dishes for everyone to sample. All the vendors are very excited to be able to show off their great cuisine while guests tour the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, and all will enjoy music provided by JT and the Big Band throughout the evening.

Participating restaurants and caterers that will be taking part are Hammett House, Country Inn Bed & Breakfast, Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs, Walke Brothers Meats, Hot Mama’s Deli, Pink House, Papa John’s, Molly’s Landing, and the Claremore Elks Lodge, just to name a few. Roberdes Family Vineyards & Winery and Oak Hills Winery will both be offering wine samplings at this event. Let your inner connoisseur take over as you pair these selections with different appetizers, entrees and desserts. “We are so fortunate for a small community to have such great restaurants and great business owners that are passionate about food,” said Travis Wilson, president of Grand Bank.

“Destination Claremore is a nine-day event with something going on every day,” said Tanya Andrews, executive director, Claremore Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This is the third annual, and each year we continue to grow with new events, and our returning events continue to increase in size and attendance. It would not be possible without the support of our sponsors like Grand Bank, the community, and all of northeast Oklahoma. It is community partners like Grand Bank that come out in full force to show their support and make each year better than the year before!”

Destination Claremore is a combined effort of Claremore’s tourist attractions presented by RCB Bank, Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs, City of Claremore, Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment of Arts, and the Claremore Convention & Visitors Bureau. Additional sponsors include Grand Bank, BancFirst, Robson Performing Arts Center, TTCU the Credit Union, and Reasor’s.
